Well! It looks like this lovely, brilliant, October's Friday, I've got bad news and worse news, and I'm not too chuffed about either.

    Of Jell-O and Laser Sharks

Hmmm. Okay. You guys ever have a week that feels like trying to outpace a shark while you're both trapped in Jell-O?

Then you say, "Butterscotch, it's only been two days since you've seen your awesome girlfriend." Ha. ha.

Hey!

So as y'all may have heard, I recently had the pleasure of attending the last-ever Bronycon, and it was absolutely aces! (Everyone was happy, cheer was filling up the place...and I saw that every brony had, a smile upon their face...) I had thought my interest in the series was fading, but that convention was one of the best times I've ever had and I'd really love to give a big hug to the entire fanbase for being cooler than a Double Sonic Rainboom.

*twirls to set hands on a counter in bargaining position, pulling down a series of charts with my foot* Which brings me to the Crisis of the Hour.

There are some things I'd give the stars for; I saved for years to get Bronycon tickets and along the way, convince my non-Brony parents to drive me across several states to go to a pony convention. And, of course, I thought that would be the end of working every other Saturday (and my non-brony best friend, probably the end of her getting messaged ten updates an hour) for about a month until the "Anyway, Come to Trotcon" sign clicked. *giggles* So there I am, in Study Hall, snapping out of the sixth (of forty-four, to say nothing of the other 76 in my To-Read shelf; guys, I am here to READ FANFICTION and EAT CAKE and I have been able to do NEITHER for a VERY LONG TIME because I am an AP STUDENT and VERY TIRED) ponyfics to immediately look up TrotCon badge prices.

So a little later, while my mom and I were going to the library, I mentioned the possibility of TrotCon and she was pretty receptive to it. My dad also was okay with it, but we couldn't resist the cheap joke that it would be more convenient if my aunt could take us in, while I parried with "Ha, you think that would be too much of a favor to ask? By that time, we'll be lucky if she's not still living with us." (My aunt was fired from her job in Columbus, Ohio about a year ago and found another of that job where we live in Tennessee. She put her house on the market sometime in June, and then, without asking with a question mark, called us to say "I'm staying with you guys for a month." We are now on *punches wall* the eleventh lovely week.) (We are not good people.)

However, today while e-mailing that same aforementioned friend about PonyCons, I stumbled upon Everfree Northwest Con. It looks fantastic (and I have no doubt some of you feel the same), and also falls well within the schedule. The problem is only in convincing my parents it's worth their while to travel all that time for the second pony convention. (Which, ahaha, probably comes with me cheering nonstop, singing every song from the MLP soundtracks from memory for at least a month, taking it upon myself to fill them in on every event canon and fanon verbally, by e-mail, text, or carrier pigeon, baking too much of some sweet or another, and bouncing downstairs in kitty ears and plushies in tow at 3:00 AM. I'm not exactly subtle on being excited, y'all.)

So, the goal now is to go to both Everfree Northwest Con and TrotCon. My mom said I could go if I managed to save enough for both tickets and my airplane ticket, so the task at hoof? Step One, to manage to conversationally waltz my dad in convincing him to go to both. Step Two, to tango my way through AP and Honors courses and get the extra time to make money whenever possible to get....*soft sigh*....$500.00, give or take?

Wish me luck, y'all!
