shhhhhhhhhhhh just breaking the site again don't mind me

very, very, very experimental fic continues its slow progress as the deadline for bicyclette's sci-fi contest draws near. these chapters are about on-par with what if in terms of length, but oh boy have they been an interesting experience to write.

hey hey btw i've got a (couple of) public minecraft server(s)!

yeah so anyway here is my webbed site lol. there's an MC Classic server for building whatever, and an MC Beta 1.7.3 server for playing survival. I might eventually also put up a modern vanilla server as well, though given how I'm hosting a bunch of servers already for friends and a couple of discord servers, idk if the little slab of a PC I'm using to host 'em all would be able to manage lol.

summer break is almost here :V

basically got one week left lol. got an experimental fic in the works that's a sort-of direct sequel picking off right where Splintershard ended. no prior reading is necessary.

MAN it's been a while since I've toyed with writing styles.

Don't mind me while I wallow in radio silence on Fimfic. · 7:06am Sep 1st, 2019

(Don't mind me tagging Pony-Me with this blog, 'cause it's most relevant to that.)
...Yeah, haven't really been updating much at all here, have I? Lemme just blab about some stuff:

Yes, my interest in MLP has only been getting smaller for quite a while now. I'm mainly still here because I like reading fan works more than watching the show, and also because I just like the community in general.

Though the stories aren't tagged as such, everything is currently under unofficial hiatus.

I am still working on my fics every now and then, but I've been doing so on a much, much slower pace than before.

Nope, it's not a crapton of essays or some life crisis that's holding me back from the site. It's just that my growing lack of interest has been drawing me back to original fiction, which, ironically, was what I abandoned to come to the site in the first place.

There may or may not be a chance that I'll publish bits and pieces of the original fiction story I'm working on every so often. Though, I'm not liking the idea of posting entire 1000+ word chapters of a story in a blogpost. In all honesty, I'm planning on waiting it out 'till Genfic actually becomes a thing.

Yup. The original fiction project I'm working on is the adaptation of Pony-Me. Quite a bit has changed from the original story, partially because I obviously had to cut out MLP almost entirely, and partially because I didn't want to just copy and paste the entire story as-is into Word, make a few tweaks and push it back out as a new thing. That's lazy.

There's a chance that updates might start ramping up sometime next year. Why? I'm graduating, that's why. Though at that point there's everything else to worry about, and college too. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Honestly, Pony-Me actually might've been what broke the camel's back, metaphorically, when it came to how deep I was in the fandom. Now nearing two years since I began writing it, the story was the first time in years that I actually wrote out an original piece of lore for my stories without first considering MLP's lore. First time I enjoyed writing it out, too. Before that, it was the background lore for my first story that served as my sole bit of original lore.

I was pretty much bracing for this moment-- this blog the entire time I was on this site. I never even planned to stay for this long, yet here I am. I only wanted originally to get some practice in writing stories, and then leave for somewhere else. Instead, I found an amazing community of writers, a great site that in my opinion, probably has the best layout and functionality over anything else I've ever seen, new friends, and a newfound passion for writing.

What essentially started the downward spiral to this point would probably be Equestria Forever. That story was posted at a time when I now consider myself to be the deepest in the fandom that I'd ever been. So much so that a review I remember getting from a now-defunct story reviewing group noted that the story was pretty much "Equestrian Propaganda". While I was initially proud of the story, and the many other people I pulled in to work on it with me, I gradually began to be turned off by the very concept of it more and more. It wasn't just because of the review, either. In only about half a year, the collaborators and I had already largely abandoned the story, and I began to see working on it by myself as a chore, instead of something I could enjoy. I'd soon begin to turn away from writing really anything much that was closely tied to canon MLP lore in any way, and would begin to instead work off of personal headcanons and random ideas that'd come to me every so often.

And... well, that's pretty much it, for now. I don't know how long I may remain inactive on Fimfiction, but if you ever want somebody to talk to, I'll still be here.

Oh, and also I had an idea for a sequel to Pony-Me, but I'm probably not gonna do anything with it for a while just because I want to work on the adaptation first. Also keep forgetting the title of it, too. I always seem to remember it whenever I don't have anything around to write it down on.

I know how you feel. I spend most of my MLP time in the fanfiction scene rather than watching the show (though that's probably because S9 doesn't start airing until late September where I am).

For what it's worth, I've enjoyed writing stupid collabs with you, and wouldn't mind doing one more one last time before you peace out.

Cheers. There's also Letupita725HD.

well then, I cant say I wasn't expecting this to happen eventually, but I suppose at one point all of us are going to lose interest in the fandom. I mean, I have long since lost most of my interest in the show, and now all I do that's MLP related is fanfiction. But if you really are not going to be on the site as much as you used to (if at all) then I suppose that I'll just have to go back to the Discord channel to annoy you there :pinkiecrazy:

Well, have fun on your adventures in humanwords! And should you ever have any more horsewords in your arsenal, we'll welcome them with open arms.
