"Hard Deadline", Hard Hurricane

So Hurricane Dorian as of now is baring upon my location, having built up to the strongest possible category a storm can become. Suffice to say, my mind has been focused on many things, most of them not being writing.

However, I did manage to do some last-minute adjustments to "Hard Deadline", the one story I hadn't uploaded from the "Endings" collection. It's a cute little story, utilizing a character I've been sitting on for four years: Price Back. For those who don't know, Obscelscence hosted a contest called the OC Slamjam a few years back, where writers created OCs and wrote them with a competing writer's character. I only got to Round Two, but Price was interesting enough to me that I kept him in my back pocket for years. This story finally allowed me to do something with him, utilizing a certain recently-deceased convention in a half-loving, half-scornful way.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention I'd uploaded it, and I hope the end result entertains a few people. Now I've got to go hunker down and hope Dorian doesn't blow me away.
