My Little Pony Season 9 News 08/16/2019 · 12:03pm Aug 16th, 2019

*Chants* WHERE'S THE REVIEW?! WHERE'S THE REVIEW?! WHERE'S THE REVIEW?!

Yep... They are 'really' pissed.

*Peeks from behind a podium*

Hey... Good morning, faithful readers... Now I know I said that I'd have a review from last weekend's episode. Unfortunately, due to events that are 'wee' beyond my control... The review for '2, 4, 6, Greaaat' is going to be a delayed for the time being.

BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OKAY, OKAY, OKAY, JUST HEAR ME OUT!!! *Sighs* I do not have an estimate as to when that review is coming up... But I have no intent on ever skipping an episode from the season... *Under his breath* Even if it was one of the worst Rainbow Dash episodes I've ever seen...

EXCUSE ME?!?!?!?!

*Pause* Yeah... Should've put a spoiler warning on that one. Anywho... As I try to put in some detailing with my review, I would like to point out that I do have 'another' episode to go over which I'm 'hoping' is a redemption from that disaster of an episode last weekend. And this particular episode happens to share a title of one of my favorite games of all time. Starting this weekend, we prepare to take a look at the episode entitled:

A Trivial Pursuit

Now I know the episode was released in China (Like many others), but for the sake of the fans who haven't seen the episode...

... I SAID... For the fans who haven't seen the episode...

I heard you... But I'm in no mood.

... No spoilers... Yeah, they get it... MOVING ON!!!

So according to the new episode, apparently Twilight Sparkle is the reigning champion of an event called 'Trivia Trot', which is like their version of 'Trivial Pursuit'. But Twilight's hopes of keeping that winning streak intact are up for grasp when she's unexpectedly paired with 'Pinkie Pie'... Yes, 'Pinkamena Diane Pie' herself which doesn't sound so bad given what good friends they are. Except there's 'one' small catch: Pinkie Pie has never attended a trivia night in her life. Now going in I can already hear the fans moaning and groaning as to what this episode is implying. But... Let's just take a moment to take this into perspective.

If there's one thing we as the fans end up doing is that we sometimes underestimate Pinkie Pie just because she is the comic relief, even her friends think she's 'so' random and think she doesn't take anything seriously. Even in the beginning of the series, Twilight barely tolerated Pinkie's antics while she was trying to read her book (Note that I'm talking 'Season 1' Twilight Sparkle, FYI). But there are times when Pinkie Pie does have her moment of triumph, like finding a vital clue when the ponies are in need of something and it just happens to be in front of her or even those stories when it ends up being 'Pinkie Pie' who promotes the lesson to her friends. Now I'm not going to be surprised if Twilight Sparkle goes into 'Twilighting' mode especially in something as competitive as 'trivia', given she spends her whole life studying and reading books. Hopefully it's not like that one episode of 'Lloyd in Space' that involved a trivia style contest (Yes, I grew up during that time period).

Now even though a few fans have either seen the China release, I myself chose 'not' to watch that episode as I'd rather wait for the 'official' release tomorrow. So going in, I really don't know what to expect from this episode but I can pretty much get where they are going with this and as far as 'Trivia Night', it reminds me of that night on the cruise when I scored 30/30 on Disney Trivia and I would've won too... If the tiebreaker didn't involve 'counting' the steps in the Eiffel Tower. If anything, I feel that this episode will remind me of a different event that I myself am more familiar with: 'Karaoke Night'. When it comes to those nights, I am 'very' passionate when it comes to music and yet when I have that one friend who brings their family along and they goof off it is understandably uncomfortable for me like they don't know how much this night means for me. So this is how I feel going into this episode, seeing two ponies taking a different approach to this one event in their lives and yet one or two lessons can serve as the takeaways for this story (Plus, the fans would like to see a 'Twilight-Pinkie' episode again).

But the big question remains: What do YOU think? Be sure to leave a comment below at your earliest convenience.

Until next week, this is the Dramamaster829... *Crack of lightning shoots out*

*Sighs* Boy have I got my work cut out to make up for all this.
