After something like a year, I finally return to FIMfic.... ok I was here earlier but for the past year and more a lot of my fandom time and effort has been for another fandom that I am now finally sick of, and ready for a break.
And here's pony!
I've started looking at all my unposted fics and WIPs and feeling that inspiration again, and ready to sink into this beautiful, complex, candy-colored world.
There's so much I want to do...
- Anon-A-Miss fic
- Fall of Equestria fic (lord that's overdue)
- Sequel to Don't Want Perfection (FY Rarijack!)
- A Shining Armor fic during A Canterlot Wedding (this one is so nice to write, it's soothing)
- Applejack goes to see Big Mac in drag
and more!
Also rant time... I'm so tired of this other fandom (a small one for a movie).
It was great fun for a long time being in an active, supportive community that inspired each other to write and create art. But it's changed and people have left and now there's very few people I actually want to even talk to on discord anymore.
It's gotten to the point that every time I read through chats there it leaves me feeling awful, and I assume that's just my own issue, because others are still enjoying it. I'm tired. Of so much.
Rude, condescending people, obnoxious fangirls of other writers (normally I don't mind but lord the overkill just ruins it. Shouting 'YOU'RE SO WISE' for every little thing is bizarre to read), and the whole atmosphere has changed for me.
And a blog on a pony fic site is the only place I can openly rant about it 
But with all that, it means returning to pony is such a breath of fresh air.
It's almost remarkable that I feel more comfortable here, considering what so many people think of bronies as toxic and unhealthy (and ok, there's a lot of that. Bronycon fuckpillows, anyone?)
Feels good to get this off my chest!

The story is still there, the title just might be confusing- it's called Edge of Sky (I went back and forth on that title for ages... still not happy with it)
