Yep, it's the Patreon Talk. Stay with me and see just what I am doing and why I have decided to start one.
Hey guys, many of you read what I have been putting out for a year and a half now. That has led to 2 published series, with a 3rd about to be released: Fallout Equestria: Shaping Shadow & Dragon War. With EQG: SAO - Aincrad on its way.
Shaping Shadow releases a chapter every Tuesday! I know that is impressive, especially for a series as big as it is. It hasn't missed a week since it was released in February 2018! I have heard some great comments about how nice it is to have a story updating on a regular schedule. That’s my goal and it is what you deserve.
But to get there, I have to put a lot of time and effort into each piece. I don't have an editor for most of them, meaning I spend even more time self editing. Each chapter is edited a dozen times, and more. If you started with Shaping Shadow, you know my writing has improved consistently over time. And thanks for sticking with it.
The time I have available is limited. School is coming up in the fall, so it will take up some of that time. But I want it make sure I focus on the Fan Fictions I have going. For Shaping Shadow, that's writing Book 5 and Sagas of Shanyisa. But I have 20 finished chapters alone in Book 4. That's 20 weeks of chapters coming to you because I am that prepared. Even with school, it is more than enough time to write and edit ahead of my releases, so you get a chapter a week as promised.
Don't get me wrong, I love this stuff. I love writing these stories for you and hearing feedback. It was suggested to me to open a Patreon after that person heard how much I love doing this and how much I do for my readers. Because honestly, I don’t make a cent off it. And Patreon provides a way for people to help. If I didn’t have to worry about finances… I’ll just say I have other stuff that I can make money off of - which I am working on – so logically I should drop these fan fics and work on those; because they are publishable and can make me money in the long run.
It simple. I’m making thanking and supporting me through Patreon as easy, yet rewarding, as possible. A private Patron Only Discord server, just for us. Access to early releases on chapters, and even the ability to name a character. All of that is available for no more than $5 a month.
Nice, simple, and easy on the wallet. I don't want to coerce you, or take your money. I'm not going to stop posting here or writing new stories.
