A few months ago, I saw a video of someone talking about how the fandom tends to talk more about Soul Reaver 1 than two (even though, according to him, SR 2 is a better game) and he accused the fandom of preferring 1>2 because of Nostalgia. While he does have a point on the part of SR2 being a better game, I personally think that he is wrong on the nostalgia part. I think people like to talk more about SR1 than its sequel because SR1 shows the end of a life Raziel used to know and we are witnesses to the end of an era. Something that, I hope, manage to capture on this retelling chapters of Soul Reaver 1.
