Yup! The good Mister Bean has been spotted outside his native Boopverse, but with a slightly different look than usual. (And by slightly, I mean 'Hulk Smash!' different. :)

It's a good story but it was so damn hard to read through his grammar. Did he ever get an editor and go back through the chapters?

Eh, the writing there isn’t great, between grammatical issues and sentence structure.

Also, bit strange to see the writer take Bean’s name and appearance and basically make a new character out of him. You do a good job in presenting other writers’ characters, not like that guy.

The grammar issues were bound to happen, since English is not Lighting Ace's native language. I'm sure his editors are trying to help out as much as possible, but they may not have the time to basically rewrite the chapter.

Ace told me he was going to make a few changes, and I told him that was fine. My general policy towards Baked Bean showing up in other fics is to generally allow it, provided that the author doesn't try to pass off their Bean as the official one, and so long as his amiable personality is still there to some degree. Generally. :)

Besides, I'm guilty of changing ponies to fit my story too. Georg's Dry Roast has a cameo bit in This Nose that changes his back story, and Dry's brother Balanced Budget was wholesale stolen and married off to Aunt Adzuki. I'd feel like a hypocrite if I demanded Bean be exactly the same in his out of story appearances since I don't always keep a character the same.

Well, we kinda did once, in chapter 19 of No Nose:

Next to her, and where his reflection was, stood a strong and noble-looking stallion. Straight off the cover of some romance novel, the image was broad-chested, with a chiseled chin, and stood as tall as Celestia usually did. Bean could hardly believe that the reflection was him. If this other stallion didn’t have his yellow coat, he could have easily passed off the stud as one of the innumerable nobility that he had seen in the palace.

“This is how I see you, Bean: strong, firm, and handsome. You are a dedicated and devoted pony, and one who will remain faithful to me forever.”

So there is a chance hulked-out Bean could show up again.
