The Way of Water Leads to One Beautiful Splash

    Hello everyone,

I just came back from watching Avatar: The Way of Water.

And much like the first one, there's one main word I can describe it as: though I think Countess Coloratura puts it best:

    Deadlines suck

    Hey everyone,

So, due to a lot of Real Life getting in the way, I wanted to let everyone who's been reading along to Star of the Sea know that our chapter publishing is going to get very shaky.

Used to be I'd try to make sure we posted every Friday. But due to some scheduling concerns and overall being incredibly busy, I felt it best to take that deadline off.

TF2 Analysis - Dr. Wolf · 12:03am Jul 22nd, 2019

Welcome back to my TF2 Analysis Tribute, where I analyze and give thanks to the Brony Analyst Community and their web series, TF2 Analysis.
Now, f you’ve read my story The Lone Wolf of Equestria, you might think that I like wolves. Truth is… I love wolves. Their steadfast loyalty to those they care about; their appearance… something about wolves just draws me to them. So, naturally, when I found out about a Brony Analyst whose avatar was an anthropomorphic wolf, my curiosity was piqued.
I first heard of Dr. Wolf when he collaborated with the Fiery Joker in FOB Equestria’s ‘Taking Morals in MLP Too Seriously.’ And the instant I saw him, I was hooked. A talking wolf psychologist with a voice like smooth vanilla milkshakes for ears? Who could ask for more?
Then I checked out his channel, and my liking towards him increased. Because he didn’t just analyze episodes of MLP; he explored the psychology of their characters. His ‘A Moment with Dr.Wolf’ videos explored the characters of MLP in a manner that really caused me to look at the Mane Six less as kid appeal characters and more as vibrant and interesting personalities. And it didn’t just stop there; he made additional ‘Moment with Dr. Wolf’ videos revolving around his fellow analysts! He dove into their characters, backstories and motivations that really allowed me to see these guys as real people, which is something that I really love doing now with my own characters.
Dr. Wolf heads the TF2 Analysis series, and serves as the RED Engineer. And I just have to say, he fits the role perfectly. While Firebrand’s personality and temper serve as the Red Oni straight man, Dr. Wolf personifies the cool and collected Blue Oni Straight Man. He’s not as zany as the other characters, but he has a naturally soothing aura around him that lets him serve as their father figure. Plus, while he doesn’t lash out and get angry like Firebrand does, he has a somehow scarier, tranquil fury about him when the others push him to his limits. It really says something when this wolf can stare down a rainbow monster bigger than him, and have the rainbow monster quivering in fear mere seconds after it was on a rampage… with the raise of an eyebrow.
In a way, he’s the perfect expy of the original Team Fortress 2 engineer, and yet also his own thing entirely. Both of them have that smooth, collected attitude that gravitates you to them as a place where you can relax and be yourself, yet they also have that slightly deranged side lurking underneath that shows they aren’t better than their fellow characters. Though, where the original Engineer has more of a mad genius vibe to him, Dr. Wolf has something else to him. Something that I’m really scared they’re going to try and let out one day.
Overall, though, the best part about Dr. Wolf is his interaction with fans. I once wrote to him for advice on one of my fanfictions, and he replied back! And, when he sent out a call for voice actor auditions, he replied back when I submitted an audition. I didn’t get the part, but he still went out of his way to talk to an apparent nobody that meant nothing to him, and not only helped them out of a writing bind they were in, but also thanked them for giving the time to offer their assistance. Doc is an absolutely wonderful person, and although I might never meet him in person, he is one of the reasons I will always hold a fondness in my heart for the wild brothers of man’s best friend.
If you ever read this, Doctor Wolf, I want to say thank you for your advice, and thank you for the opportunities you gave me. Thank you for all your wonderful work, and I will always look forward to hearing from you.
