*Deep inhale*
It's only been a year and half since I've been working and supporting myself, but each day I work it's a blessing. It's a reminder that someone out there saw potential in me when I had nothing. When I was nothing. Now, I can feel my smile growing each and every day. Little by little, I'm recovering from all the abuse I've suffered, and finally I feel like life is going somewhere. Often, I felt trapped in knowing how hard it is for me on my own, how nowadays you practically NEED another person to help you to afford a place. I still don't know quite how to make it happen, but I won't lose hope. I'm getting so much better with my driving, and I'm starting to feel my confidence building. It's a long climb, but the view at the top will be worth it. How do I know? Because I've been here before. No one believed that I'd be a published author, no one but myself. I believed in me when no one else did, and when my life fell apart after my ex, a woman named Robin gave me a chance to do something with my life. Here I am a year and a half later, and I'm not going to give up now. Not when I have so much to look forward too. So many little reasons to be happy, but most of all, the most important of them all, is that I AM WORTH IT.
and yes I tell myself this every morning in the mirror every day. *blushes*
Darn right you are. You're worth quite a bit more than you may realize. You make someone else's day a bit better by just being around them. You drive someone else crazy and keep them up late at night. And everyone is that kind of person to someone else. We just never know it.
