It's raining again · 6:56pm Jun 16th, 2019
Rain, rain, go away,
Come back another day,
Words spoken mostly by the English. We've been getting it a lot lately, and towns and villages around the country have succumbed to flooding. I'm all for enjoying the rain, but there is such thing as too much rain. Still, I prefer it over sun. Give me rain / snow any day of the year, but, please, Mr Rain Cloud, learn some restraint. Don't make me come up there, mister!
Hope it doesn't cause damage. I honestly prefer it as well, I like sitting in my room with lamplight at my desk, either talking with friends or reading while the sound of gentle rain on the rooftop finds my ears along with a set of music I have specifically for these days.

Amen to that. I just enjoy listening to it when I'm in bed, reading or playing the guitar. It puts me in that blues mood, so I mostly just sit and pretend to be in the market in Metro 2033, rocking it out. Look it up, the song's called Metro Blues, or Bunker Blues, if you want something more upbeat.
Also, it's a bit of a mood-setter for writing sad stories. It was raining when I wrote A Girl and Her Alligator, and I find it to be a great influence on locking in the emotion and general atmosphere!
Hail the Rain!

Wow that's catchy. And yes, the weather and atmosphere really can put me in the mood for writing or thinking as well
