Well... Gen 4 is ending, and I have mixed emotions... Happiness, nervousness... Sadness... I'm somewhat eccited for Gen 5 as it means the show doesn't just stop and I still have reason to hold on... But I'm nervous cause if its new characters... I'm afraid they won't feel like the Main six, or I might not enjoy them as such... I know I'm gonna cry when gen 4 ends... I just hope gen 5 can keep me alive just a bit longer...

No, I probably won't, Gen 4 made me happy when medicine, therapy, other treatments didnt... When I found the fandom I was just interested in reading stories where ponies died or became evil, but I realised O found joy in it... If I didn't find the fandom I wouldn't be here be know... So I'm scared that either I won't enjoy gen 5 or the fandom wont enjoy it and abandon thw fandom leaving very few to kindle a dying fandom, before they leave too...

It's alright. You can still find something to enjoy. Even if Gen 5 does end up crapping all over itself, I'm pretty sure at this point that the fandom for Gen 4, for the most part, has become big enough to sustain itself for years to come. Even if the fandom does end up shrinking over time, that'll just mean that the people who've stayed are just more devoted then the people who left. Yes, the fandom already indeed peaked a while back, but you still see new stories posted and old stories updated, don't you? Fandoms tend to last years, or even decades beyond their source material. They don't just die out when the next season or show or whatever comes along and becomes dead on arrival, they bide their time. They share their ideas, they write their own stories, make their own journeys, worlds, and more.
Fandoms don't truly die in the same sense of a person dying. They rise and fall on the interest and attention of people. With over 7 billion living humans here on Earth, there's surely gonna be at least some people at any given moment that are interested in a given topic.
Heck, one way you could look at things is the re-emergence of Minecraft into the limelight. For quite some time, people have said that the game reached its peak, and had long-since passed its golden years. But for some reason, the game has just kinda surged into relevance again. Now, it could indeed just be hype from the slew of new announcements and updates, but I'm sure that much of how it's returned can be attributed to its fandom once again rallying around the game. Nearly an entire generation of kids and teens grew up playing the game, and now, many of them are returning; not just for memories and memes, but for actual, nonironic enjoyment.
MLP may very well follow the same cycle. If you look around hard enough, you'll actually find a decent-sized community within Fimfiction that has supposedly been around since Gen 1, and lasted all the way through to even today. Just because Gen 4 is ending doesn't mean that people will simply leave, it'll just mean that Gen 5 will bring new content, for better or for worse.
