Hey All,
So here's the scoop on the story: it is coming along, but as you've (hopefully) noticed, it's starting to get a bit more intense. I'm trying not to rush the writing, especially not now, and deliver quality story.
That being said, this is valentine's weekend. I'm not writing much of anything this weekend, if you know what I mean. (Well, besides this journal).
Next weekend is DUNDRACON. It's my first year going, but the friends I'm going with have gone many a time.
You know I hate to promise anything, but I am set on releasing the next chapter the weekend after that (2/25) at the latest. I don't want to loose momentum, nor make y'all loose interest.
That being said, today's episode: woah. I almost couldn't stomach the pet names they started throwing at each other.
I appreciate that the writers of this episode used magical influence. It prevents the numerous flutter x mac supporters from rioting. (I'm in that camp. Not to be a Sweetie Bell, but they'd be so perfect together.)
This is the first episode that I cannot accept plot-wise, for one reason:
Do you think that there is any possible way, barring extreme emergency or the like, that Rarity would not insist on making a wedding dress for a wedding?
Is that just me?
And when Sweetie started reading about "a dragon, a kingdom falling, chaos reigning" (12:42), all I could think was: Discord. It must have been Discord.
Don't deny it. Y'all thought it too.
This episode also marks the introduction of two of the creepiest ponies ever: Clown pony, and much more frightening, the Jellyphile pony.
With his creepy, creepy smile, that just turns into this...really satisfied (sexually satisfied?) face.
Eeeuuuggh.
Well, considering they only had to keep them occupied for an hour Rarity could have been at the Spa. But I get your point, I was disappointed Rarity wasn't there, she's my fav. Also, like you, I'm glad that the main six were left out of this episode and nothing permanent happened cannon-wise other than Cheer and Mac being good friends.
I'm a newcomer to the story and I'm glad to see this blog post, as I noticed it hasn't been updated in a week or two. Take your time though, I've wait about a year for updates on my favorite fanfics so don't worry about me losing interest!
