    *eye roll*

me checking the dislike ratio on my new story

Glad to know bigotry is still alive and well in this fandom.

It's glad to see some of us didn't watch the same series as I did.

    So where I've been

Okay, uh... how do I begin this? Well, I suppose I should start with the obvious. Yes, I've been distracted. If you follow me on Archive that should be obvious. And if you don't, you totally should btw. Yes, I'm shameless.

Been a hell of a ride, honestly. I just apologize for dragging it on for so long.

Long may he reign!

Indeed. Let's hope he reigns for another 65 years eh?

I take it you liked it, then?

 Glad to hear yet another person loved it.

Honestly, whenever I read a negative review of the movie, calling it "boring" or "inept" or a "complete failure", it feels like a punch to the gut. I almost feel ashamed that I liked it sometimes.

Then I see all the positive stuff that the fans and general audiences have to say about it, and suddenly I don't feel so alone.

It had issues, sure, but I ended up getting what I wanted out of it, more or less. So did a lot of other people.

This basically proves something we knew all along. Critics know nothing. Well, at least American ones. I swear, that one critic who called Mothra 'ugly' really burnt me up. Real nice treatment of our queen there. Mind you, Toho loves it.

They even called this Ghidorah more frightening than their own. That says it all.

I swear, that one critic who called Mothra 'ugly' really burnt me up. Real nice treatment of our queen there.

I didn't even read that one, and I already hate that guy's review.

The one that got me was the one that said the monsters are "given a sense of reverence that they don't deserve". Wow. Just...wow.

I guess we shouldn't surprised that American critics hated it. When The Return of Godzilla debuted here in the US, it got a similar treatment because nobody could understand why they were taking the "big lizard rubber suit guy" so seriously.

But enough with hating the critics, glad to hear you liked it, and I eagerly await the next chapter of Rebirth of the Queen.

Incidentally, I've been toying around with the idea of writing my own Godzilla/MLP crossover. My idea has a sort of Shin Godzilla and Cloverfield vibe to it.

5080942
Is that an official concept or is that just fan art? Either way, it doesn't look nearly as terrifying as Shin Godzilla.

By the way, I don't know if you're a part of the group for The Bridge, but I've put up a blog post detailing my personal alterations to Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Oh, that's official. To a point anyways. From the 4d Evangelion/Godzilla ride.

And yeah, I did see that, and I do agree the Destroyer needed a bit more foreshadowing and some of the monster fights shouldn't have been seen from a human perspective. Mothra VS Rodan is a good example. But to be fair, there's only so much you can fit in a 2-hour movie.

Oh, this is actually a brand-new blog post where I go from the beginning of the movie to the end. It's not a 100% different plot, but it does have certain twists and new scenes to it.
