Hello there! I'm not all that sure how these blog posts are traditionally supposed to work, but I'd hazard a guess that the first one should be some sort of introduction.
My name is Ellie. A handful of you who frequent a little website called Imgur might also know me as @ElbowDeepInAHorse. Before I discovered FIMFiction I tended to spend a goodish chunk of my spare time sharing horses, ponies and anything equine. Imgur started as a way to combat boredom but over time it started to become a creative outlet. I learned how to create silly animations with Adobe Premiere and enjoyed the positive reactions from a site that tends to react to ponies with open hostility. I've carved out a little niche there and it's been a grand old time for the past three years.
Recently, I stumbled across a trove of artwork for Fallout: Equestria. This might speak more about me than anything else, but it never clicked in my head that all of this Fallout themed art was tied to anything except a general love of the games. Not until an Imgur user asked me if I'd read Kkat's story and balked at the fact that I hadn't even heard of it. A link was sent my way and I stepped too close to the edge. I've been falling through this little corner of the fandom ever since.
So here I am, writing a blog entry in the middle of the night on FIMFiction. I'm two chapters into a story that I'm truly excited to write. The site is still new to me so if I step on any toes or make mistakes, let me know! I'm sure I'll end up smacking my shin against a coffee table at some point.

Thanks Mach! I'll miss making gifs but boy howdy, they took hours to days to make and the response on Imgur was always tepid with the pony content. I learned a new skill though, and it'll be nice dusting off this one now. :)
