The Power of Freedom – Character List

This is just a small list with the physical characteristics and a short description for the characters from “The Power of Freedom” in order to help to identify them, as in answer to a few requests.

The characters are sorted in the order of their appearance in the story so as to avoid spoilers. And I shall update this as new characters are introduced.

Ganondorf:

First Appearance – Chapter I

Species - Earth Pony; Coat - Dark Brown; Mane and Tail - Crimson; Cutie Mark - The Triforce of Power; Gender - Male

Ganondorf, the King of Thieves, Lord of Darkness and Wielder of the Triforce of Power is now a very large earth pony - consider him to be slightly bigger than Big Mac - with a dark brown coat. a vivid crimson mane and tail and golden eyes. His cutie mark is the Triforce of Power, three interlocked golden triangles with the uppermost triangle with a deeper golden color.

Zelda:

First Appearance (In pony form) – Chapter II

Species - Unicorn; Coat - Pristine White; Mane and Tail - Golden Blonde; Cutie Mark - The Triforce of Wisdom; Gender - Female

Zelda, the Crown Princess of Hyrule and Wielder of the Triforce of Wisdom is now a unicorn with a pristine white coat, golden blond mane and tail and blue eyes. Her cutie mark is the Triforce of Wisdom, three interlocked golden triangles with the bottom left one possessing a deeper golden color.

Species - Pegasus; Coat - Forest Green; Mane and Tail - Blonde; Cutie Mark - The Triforce of Courage; Gender - Male

Link, the Chosen Hero and Wielder of the Triforce of Courage is now a pegasus with a forest green coat, a blond mane and tail and blue eyes, he is lithe and athletic, with his form being slightly smaller than the average adult pegasus. His cutie mark is the Triforce of Courage, three interlocked golden triangles with the bottom right one possessing a deeper golden color.

Forest Blossom:

First Appearance – Chapter IV

Species - Earth Pony; Coat - Burnt Orange; Mane and Tail - Violet; Cutie Mark - a Wild Tree at Full Bloom; Gender - Female

Forest Blossom is an earth pony mare with a burnt orange coat and a violet mane and tail. She has a strong personality and is very independent, considering strength to be an important virtue. She has some ability with woodcraft and some unpolished fighting skill and is very protective of her little sister, Singing Blossom. Her cutie mark is a wild tree at full bloom.

Singing Blossom:

First Appearance – Chapter IV

Species - Earth Pony; Coat - Light Yellow; Mane and Tail - Deep Violet; Cutie Mark - a Singing Flower; Gender - Female

Singing Blossom is a very hyperactive and cheerful earth pony filly with a light yellow coat and deep violet mane and tail. She has some limited knowledge of herbal lore due to being recently apprenticed to an apothecary. Her cutie mark is a happy singing flower.

Sure Shot:

First Appearance – Chapter VI

Species - Earth Pony; Coat - Sea Green; Mane and Tail - Light Blue; Cutie Mark - a Bow and Arrow; Gender - Female

Sure Shot is an earth pony ranger with a sea green coat and a light blue mane and tail. She is knowledgeable of woodcraft and an expert bow wielder, but also headstrong and deeply distrustful of the other Tribes. Her cutie mark is a bow and arrow.

Forge Fire:

First Appearance – Chapter VI

Species - Earth Pony; Coat - Red; Mane and Tail - Grey; Cutie Mark - a Blacksmith’s Hammer; Gender - Female

Forge Fire is an earth pony blacksmith mare with a red coat and grey mane and tail. She is enthusiastic about new forging methods and ways to improve her work. Her cutie mark is a blacksmith’s hammer.

Woodcutter:

First Appearance – Chapter VI

Species - Earth Pony; Coat - Beige; Mane and Tail - Light Brown; Cutie Mark - a Lumberjack’s Axe; Gender – Male

Woodcutter is an earth pony lumberjack stallion with a beige coat and a light brown mane and tail. Beyond supplying the village with wood he also raises a few chickens. His cutie mark is a lumberjack’s axe.

Old Oak:

First Appearance – Chapter VI

Species - Earth Pony; Coat - Light Brown; Mane and Tail - Silver; Cutie Mark - an Oak Tree; Gender - Male

Old Oak is an elderly earth pony stallion with a light brown coat and a silver mane and tail. He is wise and level headed, traits that serve him well as the leader of his small village. He is also an apothecary and loves to seek new knowledge in regards to how better heal others. His cutie mark is an Oak Tree.

Beautiful Blossom:

First Appearance – Chapter VI

Species - Earth Pony; Coat - Plum; Mane and Tail - Blonde; Cutie Mark - a Blooming Flower; Gender - Female

Beautiful Blossom is an earth pony mare with a plum coat and a blonde mane and tail. She is the mother of Singing and Forest Blossom. She is very motherly and loves her children deeply. Her cutie mark is a blooming flower.

Wonder Bolt:

First Appearance – Chapter IX

Species - Pegasus; Coat - Azure; Mane and Tail - Neon Green; Cutie Mark - a Winged Lightning-bolt; Gender - Male

Wonder Bolt is a pegasus stallion with an azure coat and a neon green mane and tail. He is a scout of the Pegasus Armada, a very good fighter and is one the strongest fliers in the force. Unfortunately the fact that his mother was a pegasus while his father was an earth pony resulted in him being ostracized by most pegasi due to his mixed heritage. His cutie mark is a winged lightning-bolt.

Wind Shriek:

First Appearance – Chapter IX

Species - Pegasus; Coat - Grey; Mane and Tail - Black; Cutie Mark - a Gust of Wind; Gender - Male

Wind Shriek is a pegasus stallion with a grey coat and a black mane and tail. He is a lieutenant of the Pegasus Armada and takes immense pride on such, despite the fact that it is one of the lowest military rankings in the force and that he has been in said rank for quite some time now, and is very arrogant and shortsighted. He is deeply prejudiced against non-pegasi and holds contempt for all those who cannot fly. His cutie mark is a gust of wind.

Fierce Breeze:

First Appearance – Chapter XI (she does make a brief appearance at chapter IX, but is only named here)

Species - Pegasus; Coat - Pink; Mane and Tail - Yellow; Cutie Mark - a Sword Surrounded by Clouds; Gender - Female

Fierce Breeze is a pegasus mare with a pink coat and a yellow mane and tail. She is the second in command of a pegasi squad of the Armada, having been recently promoted to said position. She is highly competent and tries to judge others based on their actions and abilities, though she is somewhat uneasy at dealing with non-pegasi. Her cutie mark is a sword surrounded by clouds.

Star Swirl:

First Appearance – Interlude: Of Astronomers and Astrologists

Species - Unicorn; Coat - Grey; Mane and Tail - White; Cutie Mark – a Cluster of Swirling Stars; Gender - Male

Star Swirl the Bearded, is an elderly unicorn stallion with a grey coat and a white mane and tail. He is the high arch-mage, a pioneer of magical research and a highly intellectual scholar; he is also the mentor of Clover the Clever. Though highly eccentric and somewhat nonchalant at times, he has a serious side and knows when action is needed. He also loves a good adventure and exploring the unknown. His cutie mark is a cluster of swirling stars.

Clover the Clever:

First Appearance – Interlude: Of Astronomers and Astrologists

Species - Unicorn; Coat - White; Mane and Tail - Green; Cutie Mark - a Four-Leaf Clover; Gender - Male

Clover the Clever is a unicorn stallion with a white coat and two toned green mane and tail. He is Star Swirl, the Bearded, personal apprentice and also acts as his master’s advisor to Princess Platinum. Highly intellectual and curious, Clover desires to basically learn everything that there is to know about the mysteries of magic, he is also a very competent mage. But despite all his accomplishments he is extremely level-headed, something that truly helps him in dealing with both Star Swirl and Princess Platinum. His cutie mark is a four-leaf clover.

Celestia:

First Appearance – Interlude: Of Astronomers and Astrologists

Species - Alicorn; Coat - Pale Pink; Mane and Tail - Pink; Cutie Mark - a Shining Sun; Gender - Female

Celestia is an alicorn mare with a pale pink, nearly white, coat and a pink mane and tail. She once was a pupil under Star Swirl and worked with him in the Celestial Council to move the sun and the moon, but as she delved deeper into the mysteries of magic alongside her sister she developed a whole new school of magic, the ability to peer into the future, and accidentally ascended into an alicorn. The change caused her former tribe to treat her with suspicion and derision, which alongside the fact most of her closest friends started to pass away due to old age, while she and her sister remained mostly the same, made it so that they left the lands of the Three Tribes in a self imposed exile. Her cutie mark is a shining sun.

Luna:

First Appearance – Interlude: Of Astronomers and Astrologists

Species - Alicorn; Coat - Midnight Blue; Mane and Tail - Pale Blue; Cutie Mark - a Crescent Moon; Gender - Female

Luna is an alicorn mare with a midnight blue coat and a pale blue mane and tail. She once was a pupil under Star Swirl and worked with him in the Celestial Council to move the sun and the moon, but as she delved deeper into the mysteries of magic alongside her sister she developed a whole new school of magic, the ability to enter the dream realm, and accidentally ascended into an alicorn. Her cutie mark is a crescent moon.

Winter Gale:

First Appearance – Chapter XVIII

Species - Pegasus; Coat – Ice-Blue; Mane and Tail – Bone-White; Cutie Mark – A Blowing Blizzard; Gender - Male

Winter Gale is one of the four Colonels of the Pegasus Armada, the highest rank a pegasus can reach within the organization without becoming the supreme Commander of it. For years he has vied for that exact post, wishing to supplant Commander Hurricane as the leader of the pegasi, since he believes he is far too lenient in regards to how the pegasi treat with the other two pony tribes. He is a firm believer about pegasus’ supremacy and that only under their rule can pony-kind truly prosper. He is also Lieutenant Wind Shriek's older brother. His cutie mark is a blowing blizzard.

Limelight

First Appearance – Chapter XIX

Species - Unicorn; Coat – Silver; Mane and Tail – Bright Blue; Cutie Mark – A Shining Star Over A Laughing Theater Mask; Gender - Male

Limelight is a unicorn stallion with a silver coat and bright blue mane and tail. He is a troubadour that, after travelling for years alongside his parents troupe, decided to try his luck on his own as a solo act. Only for fate to come knocking. He is a great actor and is a bit of a coward, but despite that has a good heart and tends to try and do the right thing, as long as said right thing isn’t too contrary to his continued health. His cutie mark is a shining star superimposed over a laughing theater mask.

Gonna need to change the info on Zelda's cutie mark. You put that her mark has the bottom right a deeper gold instead of the bottom left

🤔That is very interesting and explains so much, it appears that the Trouble Magnetism is the only thing so far that passed along.
Edit: this does not mean that they might not show specific abilities later on, and I can't help but enjoy the mental image of Ganondorf roaring at the heavens as he realizes that this time he is a girl.
