Chronological order of the Nameless universe.

I finally had some time and energy to crawl through the stories to make a vague timeline of the stories. To make it really accurate, I'd have to re-read things, which I obviously don't have the eternity to do, but this is roughly accurate. I think you can guess what the color coding means, but if not, Sherlocking it out can be an unfun activity for the whole family to enjoy during the cold winter

    What next?

I don't know if I've mentioned this in a comment or not, but I've finished "They're home." The weekly updates will continue until the end, although I'll be messing around with upload times just to show the story on the "Recently updated" front page to people visiting the site at various times. It should be roughly six more chapters. As for major events and depth of feeling, this one is more about

Blow struck to the parasites of the gaming industry - publishers

In the name of truth and liberty!

I'm proud of PC gamers showing what gaming really is, not just buying proprietary console software and being happy to get a scrap of a good game once in a while. Despite all the automaton sympathizers and bug lovers defending their corporate daddy, we have finally won a battle in the long and losing war of game quality.

    Does anyone play Darktide?

Just curious, does anyone here play Darktide? My group kinda dissolved and it's not as fun when playing solo anymore.

    What started the drone-centric stories

Nothing interesting this time, just two pictures that sparked my idea about hive drones in general. We haven't reached the chill Chrysalis stage yet, but who knows how things will be by book 12 or something. Anyway, the cover I made for They're Everywhere is based on pic 2, but no matter how I tried making pixelart with the right kind of feel for books 2 and 3, it kinda sucked so I stuck to

Changeling power rankings. · 7:03am May 16th, 2019

I wasn't feeling much like starting writing what's basically penultimate chapter of HoCK, and with the recent focus on changelings, I've decided to make a ladder of changelings and changeling-like entities (Yeah, that expression is here just because of Cross) from my library based of on the ability to kick ass and chew bubblegum. Let's do a top five. I'll try to measure their overal capabilities, so here goes:

1) Horatio Cross
Well, who read far enough in the main storyline knows this monstrous hybrid and teacher. You won't find anyone more dedicated to good and morality than him, though (Well, maybe Void and Heavy Hoof who has a lot to do with Cross' moral growth). As for the kickassery, there's no other changeling even remotely close to this guy with his half a millennium of combat experience, mental resilience, magic, and vast treasury of artefacts at his disposal. Coupled with him being artificially made from the DNA of the most powerful species on the planet and part of the previous alicorn of Love's divinity (before Cadance), he's a kind-hearted but insanely overpowered monster.
Likes: Heavy Hoof, Shadowstep, anyone trying their best to become a better person, no matter the results.
Dislikes: Evil in general. Laziness.

2) Antares
Another member of Shadowstep's group who got accidentally sucked into the mirror world during Shadowstep's escape from united Griffon Legion forces into the northern deserts of the Griffon Empire. Considering that on the other side he found some grandmaster shaolin temple where he spent some six hundred years learning, then teaching, and finally leading, it's clear that his martial arts capability along with his changeling skills, natural speed, strength, agility, and force of will strong enough to negate close to any mental influence make him the second on the list. He'S that kind of old, perverted grandmaster who hides his true sklil most of the time, and lets it out only when really needed.
Likes: Easy girls of all species.
Dislikes: Abuse of power.

Insert very large gap here :rainbowlaugh:

3) Guiding Light (after corruption)
Who could be right behind the two ancient changeling warriors who serve good? The leader of the surviving changelings created by Nightmare Moon in a different dimension to wipe out all life on said planet. The SUCCESSFUL leader, to be accurate. With her experience, she knows what Nightmare's goals are and has sworn to protect this world from such destruction. Guiding is an excellent fighter completely immune to all forms of mental influence. Having recovered from corruption through sheer force of will (and some tender love and care from dad and friends), the queen of dreamlings protects Pine Hills from Corrupted and has carved out a pure place in otherwise completely tainted Equestria so that she can finally rebuild her hive.
Likes: Ponies, dreamlings, dad, Crimson Heart.
Dislikes: The Corrupted, Nightmare.

4) Three (dreamling)
No, not the little drone who hugs everything. This was Guiding Light's second in command, survivor of the planet-wide genocide campaign. Her mental skills might not have been as subtle as boss' One's, but she outclassed her in raw power. In terms of combat ability, Three rivalled pre-corruption Guiding. Serious, duty-bound, and unreleting, Three was the best subordinate anyone could wish for. However, due to her strict and sometimes seemingly heartless nature, she never found a long-term partner. Come to think of it, she was the one to use the ability of dreamlings to feed on fear the most. Unfortunately, like many others, she fell victim to the Cult of the Watcher.
Liked: Scaring bad guys, dark humor, horror movies.
Disliked: Nightmare, undead.

5) Eight (Under boss' orders to eliminate mental weakness)
Hey, someone from the new hive finally made it to the list! The boss' orders part is important, because it circumvents Eight's glaring mental weakness. Eight isn't even overly skilled in combat as such. Where she shines are her physical attributes - she's fast, agile, and tough enough to give Antares a run for his money, and she might eventually outclass him if she has the time and his training. You definitely want this perfect warrior on your side, if only to eliminate the possibility of her being against you.
Likes: boss, her hive, whipping, holding hooves (although she doesn't like to admit it)
Dislikes: being in charge, menial work, reading
