So, Sugarfoot's first night here...

Seems to have gone OK for her, she doesn't seem too terribly put out by the randomness of my ups and downs. She jumps up on the bed at will, jumps up on the couch at will, gets in her own bed at will. We had one barking incident at 2am when my neighbor's company was leaving (Dwayne always has really late company on weekends, it doesn't bother me but his door is adjacent to my door so porch conversations CAN get a little loud. Plus, well, loud door that no amount of WD-40 has been able to fix...)

Night didn't go as well for ME, but it had nothing to do with the dog, I was up with diarrhea and general restlessness, which...is par for the course for me.

There's only one hiccup so far, actually. Sugarfoot is only half paper trained. She'll go straight to the paper to pee.

As for the other thing, well...reckless abandon. Basically what my aunt's dog Ringo does. Which I'll somehow need to break her of, and quickly, because I can't bend over to pick up dog turds all day long the way I used to.

I'm kinda hoping that's just new house jitters, sometimes a new environment throws off a dog's training. She's five years old, so retraining her could be difficult.
