Endgame.

Alright, this movie has somehow bumped Jurassic Park off the pedestal of greatest movie of all time for me! Goodness Gravy was Endgame good.

Cons: Humor is good in this movie, but at very few times it makes things *slightly* too goofy. Kinda like Thor really losing himself after the beginning. There's also a few questions the time travel raises--when Steve returns the soul stone, couldn't he get Natasha back? Couldn't the reality stone free her from the Stone by the making the rules thanks and void? Couldn't Hulk or maybe Thor use the gauntlet to bring Tony back to life? If this is five years in the future, why is Ned still in high school? Wouldn't Nebula be dead if she shot her past self? Why couldn't we get a Hulk V.  Thanos rematch?

Pros: Man, that opening with Barton's family. Knew it was coming for a whole year, and the way it was executed still left me pretty sad--especially when you didn't even see them go. Honestly, the whole opening before the five gear jump was pretty intense. Tony nearly dying and going off on Steve about 'losing together', actually managing to get Thanos and cut his arm off only to find that it was for nothing...pretty sad stuff. It was especially gut-wrenching for Thor to actually go for the head, but for it to mean nothing. Scott seeing his grown-up Cassie was sad. (When Natasha is sadly eating the sandwich, a little kid sniffled)

The Time traveling got in a few awesome moments! The Ancient One recognizing Strange's plans, Rhodey smacking Quill out, Thanos learning a little too much, Tony's talk with his father and Steve seeing Peggy again. Thor and Frigga talking was just as interesting, giving him a bit of a character boost. But my favorite(ironically) part of that was Clint and Natasha having to decide who is the sacrifice to get the soul stone. It's sad to see Clint try to volunteer because he has no one left to mourn, but Natasha feels she has to because his family still has a chance of returning, not hers. You can see the desperation between the two in their brief scuffle to save each other, and it even shows up again when Thor and Clint argue about whether she can be brought back. If there's one thing I can say about this movie, It's that the actors really put a lot into it.

Prof. Hulk snapping his fingers to bring everyone back, the fight between Tony, Steve and Thor with Thanos--oh, how amazing! My theater was angry as all get out when Thanos nearly put the Axe into Thor and then they clapped like crazy when Steve finally got to wield Mjolnir (we all knew he was worthy!) The theater was dead silent when the shield broke apart because everyone, including me, thought Cap was gonna get up and say some last words before he got killed. The armies of Thanos were coming in, The Black Order was among them and it seemed like it was gonna be tough to get out of...then Cap's comms came on, with Sam's voice and the sling ring portal appeared.

Man, the theater went *nuts* when Black Panther and Shuri walked out.

The beginning to the fight and the fight itself was easily the best thing they've ever done in these movies. People are cheering and whistling as EVERYONE comes back via the portals, and then backed up by the Sorcerers of Earth, The Wakandan Armies and The Asgardians. As if that wasn't enough, as the Russo brothers couldnt be satisfied with just that, Steve stands in front of the massive army of heroes and says: "Avengers, Assemble!" Man, we couldn't stop clapping for at least a minute because of the epicness of that. Even Thanos looked worried when the battle started. It was like a giant medieval battle with the best meetings and reunions we've all wanted to see--Peter getting that surprise hug from Tony, Pepper Potts teaming up with the Marvel women and so much more. Them passing the gauntlet around like a football had everyone at the edge of their seat, and Thanos getting the stones back AGAIN made the whole theater groan. You really have to admire how, even without the stones, he was still handling some really powerful people-- including ol' Marvel.

Thanos' death was completely satisfying--being forced to watch as his armies and his entire goal all crumbled to dust before his eyes. Then sitting down just like he did at the end of IW, slowly accepting death.

Tony Stark had a beyond perfect ending-- "I am Iron Man, " then finger snap. The best line for him to have after ten years of him doing him, from 2008. Being alive long enough for Peter to have some tear-jerking words with him (I expected him to say 'I don't want you to go, I don't want you to go'), then for Pepper to tell him he could rest knowing they were safe. The funeral was a heartbreaking procession, with the camera going from family to family as they viewed everything. If Morgan Stark becomes the next Iron man, I hope she does her dad proud.

Steve retiring the way he did was what he deserved, really. Growing old with Peggy was his reward after so many years of fighting, and he can rest as well knowing who will be keeping his Shield clean for him. Thor going to find himself not as a King, but as Thor himself among the Guardians is very poetic--Quill will have to readjust to the past Gamora, but they can get back to where they were.  Peter P. never had much time with Tony upon returning, but I think he's definitely going to keep his sacrifice in mind as he continues to be Spider-man. Sam Wilson will make a fine Captain America indeed. It all started with that Billionaire, and it all ended with the snap of his fingers.

RIP Tony Stark AKA my childhood

I saw the movie. But I was disappointed. An hour into our showing, a punk kid from the showing that had just let out ran into our theater and yelled "Thanos and Iron Man die at the end!" Damn him!!!

Your childhood? ...how old are you?

Adult Range! Grew up on Iron man in cartoons though.

Soooo... like in your 20s?

I don't think the soul stone resurrects the dead, it just lets you control the souls of others. Kind of like mind control, but by making them want to do what you say.

I don't know if it can resurrect people, but I don't remember anyone using the stone for that specific purpose...
