During my prewriting navel gazing this blog had numerous titles and the body changed a lot. It'll probably feel a little bit sloppy.
I'm probably one of the few people who watch the show that doesn't really... care that it's ending. G5 is around the corner and I'll probably watch that.
I'm unconcerned about what will happen to the fandom because... I've never been a part of it. I'm an eternal outsider, constantly ostracized.
The common thread here is "I have no friends, and nobody likes me."
Path took off on a total fluke but... The upvote and comment count don't match even the favorites count. It's been brigaded a couple times. People stop reading after chapter 3 or so.
I don't have much inspiration or inclination to write because... reader count on chapters is just a number. I don't have any feedback from this number, it just exists.
Some time ago in the leadup to and judging of the Villain Exchange contest I... had a mild breakdown. It wasn't enough that the judges ripped it apart and worse things placed or won it... wasn't read at all and got downvoted to oblivion.
Another project, Pursuing Happiness, is essentially Dead on Arrival and I don't have much inclination to write for that either since it won't be read.
Writing for yourself is well and good and all, but to me the entire fun of writing is to be read. Nobody likes being ignored.
I can actually... end Path whenever I'd like. I'm on the verge of doing so and closing my account. My actual life will not change at all if I never return to FiMfiction because as stated above...
I have no friends and nobody likes me.

After eight years being frozen out of "the group" is really painful.
The Untrotted Path's been one of those stories I got used to seeing in the Updated column, but never really thought to look at. Might finally give it a look-see sometime soon.
I know this doesn't mean much coming from a random stranger who's talking to you for the first time, but keep on hanging in there!
If you do leave please leave the story up or give it to someone. This is a good story and I would hate to see it disappear.
I’d say having followers in triple digits means at least a few people like you. As for friends unless you are lucky you need to reach out first. Rare is my experience of people who have gone out of their way to start a dialog without prompting.

The follower count is essentially meaningless.
It doesn't remotely match up to the readership of any story I post, or blogpost, and at least 30-50 of them are only following to tank the rating of anything I post.

Hence why I said at least a few. I have followers and I haven’t written a word beyond comments which leads me to some confusion. Regardless once you get to over 100 you either have a few that like you, or you must have truely angered a large group of people.

I don't even know you, but when I saw this my heart sunk. Even though you're just a picture and a label to me, I'd like to wish the best for you. If you truly don't believe you're not loved, you have to fight that belief into happiness.
The best advice I can give to you is just reaching out. Friends can appear from anywhere.
