7 years ago I fell in love with a show I never thought I would. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
I was one of those "what's the appeal" types and saw a few clips here and there on youtube, then one fateful day said "fuck it" and watched it from the beginning all the way to the end of Season 2, as that had ended around the time I started watching.
About a week to a month afterwards I expressed my love for this series with an idea
an idea I rarely saw in the fandom, a crossover with Sonic. There were pics, a few fics, and even a hilarious animation of Sonic and Rainbow Dash racing.
So I started writing, wanting to be a trendsetter, make a fic people would remember.
And...it's so bad. lol. looking back on it with the eyes of today, I see so many things I wish I did better. Things I wish I did, wish I didn't. Everything.
With school kicking my ass and life catching up with my almost 30 year old self. (27 on july 1st. woo)
new friends and family...something compelled me to share this story again
7 long years since I wrote it
and now MLP has just started their final season with another movie on the way too. What a fucking wild ride it has been.
and fyi, i'm currently like 6 episodes away from finishing season 7. then i have season 8. trying to pace it so that I can hit season 9 just as it's approaching its final episode, just so I can enjoy this ride as we reach the end.
and to celebrate so many years full of friendship, love, tolerance, happiness and even the bad stuff too, i want to leave you with something that's been cooking in my head. make of it what you will

Heavy breathing, panting, the gentle drip of sweat as it hit the floor. She stood there, the faintest trace of her opponent fading away into nothing more than specks of dust as they carried up into the air. The room dark yet still illuminated enough to see the selectively reflective surface and the floor gently rippling like water. Her breathing and heart rate back under her control, she began to laugh. A small chuckle erupting into uproarious laughter.
"Hah! I did it...I'm not sure what Princess Luna and Princess Celestia meant by this 'Chamber of Reflection' being so hard. Conquering my inner demons... I already did that, this was just me proving it." Her voice sounding so relaxed as her hooves gently clopped against the water-like floor, echoing from all around as she began to walk. Stopping where she remembered a door to be she reached out with a hoof, nothing.
"Huh?" She reached out with magic, again nothing. Her muzzle scrunched as her brows furrowed and her pupils dilated slightly.
"Um... Chamber? I beat your challenge? Let me out!" She was met only with her own reverberations before a chuckle that certainly wasn't hers caught her attention, she turned to see what it was. Her eyes caught something glowing, then her ears made out the sound of footfalls, a set of two. One, two. One, two.
"Another challenge eh? Fine then, but you better let me out this time!" The footfalls stopped, the glow starting to intensify as the light of the Chamber began to illuminate what was glowing. That strange blue 'X' and that even stranger purple hair, glowing like a plasma lamp. The light illuminating the bipedal organism.
"Oh this is a challenge unlike any you've ever faced, Starlight Glimmer" The figure said before that same chuckle came forth from him again. Starlight felt all the blood leave her face, her heart pounded in her chest, her pupils dilated as sweat began to roll down her face. Fear gripping her every inch as she looked at him. She recognized him from all the stories, all the images of magic to show his visage.
"S-S-S-S-Stargazer!" She practically shrieked as he stared down at her with that twisted grin of his.
