3rd Favorite Fanmade Non-MLP Video (Plus, a Very Important Announcement) · 4:36pm Apr 1st, 2019

My 180th blog post. I almost can’t believe I’ve come this far.

Today, I’ll be making this post by showing you all another Fanmade video about the Lion King.

The song featured in this video is “Reflection” from Disney’s Mulan, the one sung by the title character’s singing voice Lea Salonga. The character featured in this video is Kiara, the female protagonist of “Lion King II: Simba’s Pride”.

I’ve definitely got to tell you guys that this is one of the most beautiful videos I’ve ever seen. I loved how everything was executed and put together, and Kiara was the perfect choice for the part of Mulan in this video, particularly because of how much in common the two have. And before anyone asks, I’d like to say that Kiara is my favorite Lion King character, so it makes this video all-the-more better.

Take a look here and tell me what you all think:

Before I conclude this post, I wanted to take the time to tell you all some very sad news.

Today, my 180th blog post...😢will also be my last blog post.

You see, due to the MLP series coming to an end, complications in developing several stories that have yet to be posted, and a growing lack of interest and love in the series...I’ll be leaving this site. Forever.

*bawls loudly*

I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.

*sniffles*

I want you all to know that I love you guys very much. And before I go, I’ve got just one thing to s-s-saaaayhahahahahaaaay...

*cries continually, before his crying suddenly turns into laughing*

APRIL FOOOOOOLLS!!!

GOTCHA!

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. Everybody seems to be making blog posts to pull April Fool pranks on others, so, I figured to myself it wouldn’t hurt to join the fun.

But rest assured, I won’t be leaving this site or canceling my projects anytime soon.

I should have seen that coming but didn't. :ajbemused:

It's good. It definitely fits the character.

Never got April fools day

Hmm... Not a big fan of those kind of April Fools' announcements even if it's just for the occasion.

But anyways, as far as the video goes, it makes sense to use Kiara for the video. After all, throughout the movie she's been trying to find her place. When folks look at her they expect to be the next Queen, the one who's to be responsible for the entire kingdom and yet when she looks at herself she feels a part of her is missing. Sure she's taken her role as a princess more seriously in the T.V. series, which indicates it took place after part of her childhood in the beginning of the flick, but even when she reaches adulthood she's not sure of her standing.

It's only when she meets Kovu and the Romeo/Juliet bond they have (Minus the death of the lovebirds of course) that she discovers what kind of ruler she wants to be. She doesn't want to be like all the other rulers, but to be free to make her own decisions and if she is to rule a kingdom she won't have to do it alone because Kovu would reign beside her.

I did one of those announcements myself. It always seems to be April Fools when people decide to leave a fandom, isn't it?

Apparently.

As a matter of fact, part of the reason I did the prank was because I was inspired by you and Jade Dawn.

Did you like the video?

Aw, were you really?

Anyways, I liked the video. Never seen Mulan before, but I have watched The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. It's honestly better than a good deal of Disney's other sequels from around the same time. I really wished they'd just done a true The Lion King III instead of the stuff we got (To this day, I'm still a little annoyed by The Lion Guard's continuity issue).

I liked it. Never thought those two would go together so well.

Aladdin: King of Thieves was also not bad, as Disney sequels go. At least Robin Williams was back. Not to mention that guy who played Gimli. Plus a plot that was actually riveting. The animation was terribly cheap, though. Which was a shame.

5036450
What was the continuity issue, exactly?

5036483
The fact that Kiara suddenly has a little brother smack in the middle of her childhood when no such thing was mentioned in The Lion King II. Yeah, that was made back in 1998, but honestly, you'd think that someone would have pointed that out and maybe moved it up to after the events of II.

I see what you mean.

I’ve been hoping to see that eventually get addressed in the series.

By the way, Mulan is a really awesome film. You should definitely see it at some point.

I hate April Fools! No offense for those who enjoy. I really never liked pranks.
