Here’s an interesting thing regarding Trench. I’m noticing that a lot of my readers like it, and I’m glad. About every 7 people that visit the story drop a like.
Anyways, I’m here to tell you that I might not follow the album exactly, I said it was loosely based off Trench, and I can tell you why.
I’m actually re-listening to the album as I write this, I’ve heard the album once before, so I don’t remember specifics. Therefore, you get things like Prancey getting arrested, when Clancey didn’t in the original. I’m also using the lyrics off of Genius Lyrics as a storyboard, I have a unique way of prewriting. My storyboard for StallionForce is literally just a collection of DragonForce songs with their characteristics under them.
While I’m using the lyrics as a storyboard, I’m completely improvising the specifics of each Trench chapter. I suppose you’re not supposed to do that, but it works for me (works is a relative term). This leads to things like Levitate having barely any connection to the original lyrics, which I’m stoked I came up with a fairly original story barely based on a song (Orion nonwithstanding.)
That’s about it. I’m likely updating StallionForce next, which will probably take a while.
