PETITION UPDATE: The Internet is Saved? Guess Again!
#Article13 is being tweaked as we speak, but not for the better. To #SaveYourInternet from #EU we still need to get through to the supposed leaders that the Internet is not broken and very definitely not to be "fixed" like THAT!
Spread the news, sign the petition, voice your concern and let us hope we can force the EU to actually LISTEN to the people and not just the echoes of their own voices!

Article 13 is attempted to be passed by the EU, European Union. People call it ACTA2.
It's purpose is to redefine copyright and censorship of the Internet, problem is it's written by people who don't know how any of that works, least of all how the Internet works.
It is very much real and NOT a joke. Passing Article13 has had its deadline moved because some companies complained against it since the demanded filters to follow the new rules would be too expensive to developed or too glitchy to cheap out on. Instead the main investors of Article13 only suggested changes that is sure to kill off several sites if put into action.
This is prime example of why people shouldn't dictate things they don't understand. Problem is, the leaders of EU ain't voted into their position, so they can generally ignore the voice of the people to get their own agenda through. We need to make as much noise as possible to at least tumble the rocks of the leaders of the different countries so they can try and vote against Article13 less they get the anger of the people on their arse.

Hey, you and me both, so no harm done. Easy to overlook things some times, I'm just panicking a tiny bit over this. If Article13 passes, I risk getting perma blocked from certain sites because it would be easier to just block out Europe as a whole than invest in mandatory filtering systems for European content.
