So I know I said that I wasn't going to do these anymore. However, I feel that to not make any mention of one of my very favorite cartoonists would just be morally wrong, given how much joy she's given me over the years.
Her cartoons: Ozy and Millie, I Drew This, Raine Dog, and her current project, Phoebe and Her Unicorn. The last one has the most unicorns, so feel free to skip ahead to that section if you like.
Ozy and Millie ran from 1998 to 2008, and was probably the first webcomic I ever read.
It centers around the two foxes shown above; Ozy, the calm and centered student of Zen, and Millie, the avant-garde anarchist. They are best friends, and weird kids extraordinaire. The comic details their life as they deal with school bullies, an uncaring school staff, popularity, the U.S. government, the Sgt. Pepper-inspired world hidden under Ozy's couch cushions, and more. Yeah, there's a parallel world hidden in Ozy's couch cushions, and his dad seceded from the U.S. because he was sick of all the advertising. I love this comic with all my heart.
I Drew This was a very political strip, drawn all through the Bush administration. It's still funny, but much more obviously dated than the other comics on this list... although not dated enough for my tastes.
I've yet to read Raine Dog, although I've heard it's rather more glum than the others on this list.
Phoebe and Her Unicorn details the Calvin and Hobbes-esque friendship of Phoebe and her friend, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils.
They met when Phoebe accidentally hit Marigold with a rock, thus saving the unicorn from being enraptured by her own reflection. Unlike Calvin and Hobbes, though, everybody can see Marigold, which can make for some interesting plots. There's also some goblins, a dragon that spits candy instead of fire, and Infernus, Unicorn of Death, who is adorable, nonbinary, and has a little crush on Phoebe. It's very cute, very sweet, and I adore it.
Thank you, D.C. Simpson, for brightening my life with your work.

I had only read O&M. I must check this out. Thank you for recommending it.
