Pardon me while I suck at Smash Bros... · 4:21am Feb 5th, 2019

I need to play as Inkling next time I play; I unlocked her (him? It? Squit?) last thing before I quit for the night.

So I has Smash Ultimate now. It's been years since I last played Smash, and I was never any good at it.

I'm still not.

Still havin' fun though.

(So far, I seem to do best with Pikachu, though I'd like to not suck with Zelda if I can manage it. I've still got a crapton of fighters to unlock, mind...)

I'm a Kirby main myself.

I admit it.

Roy's my boi!

Hey the whole point of playing games is to have fun, so you are definitely a winner in my book, and that's also why (from my point view) battle royale games and horror games are the most boring games.

I prefer Snake and Little Mac, though I might try the Mii Brawler.

I play best with Ganondorf and Zelda.

I haven't played him since the patch, but I've been having fun with K Rool.

the main color for it is a girl, but it alternates between colors. (girls have pigtails similar to Ika-Musume)

i personally need to get my switch out the pawn so i can finally join my Plant Gang brothers.

Inklings are really good at being really annoying. As a main, my advice is to use bombs. A lot. Both to cover the enemy in ink and to edge guard. They can also start combos, as throwing the bomb will launch them back towards you if they don’t shield it.
The roller is fun if you hit it, but anybody with a couple IQ points and a second of warning will avoid it.
The up smash and side smash have longer range than most, so when in doubt, whip it out.
Neutral B is great at keeping people away from you while inking them.
And finally, up B has a splash effect that knocks enemies back if you land near them.
Inklings biggest weakness is a character with a reflection. Other than that, it’s deceptively quick and incredibly fun. Even without the inking mechanic, Inkling would be a solid character. The inking makes them unstoppable in the right hands.
Final note, if you don’t play the schoolgirl outfit, you should never show your face in online.

I’m a Sonic and Richter main.

Olimar, Roy, Pit, Young Link, and Ice Climbers are my mains... and yes, I realize I just listed 5 mains. That happens when every time you get a main, they remove them in the next game.

It's the mark of a great game if you can have fun while also sucking at it.

I tend to do the best with the characters with extra mechanics. Robin, Pokémon Trainer, and Inkling are my top 3 fighters - and all three of them have something that makes them play differently.

In a fan of Palutena, she is pretty resilient.

My boyfriend has it and I'm not great at it - as with many fighting-type games. My best fighter seems to be Bowser, so far.

Zero Zuit Samus and Chrom. These are my mains.

Other than that, I enjoy Ice Climbers, Young Link, Ganondorf and occasionally Lucas.

I’ve been maining link since the game was invented and I still suck at it.

Have fun! Be sure to give every character a spin; you'll never know who might click with you. I never would've even tried Robin if I wasn't trying to clear every Classic mode, but I've come to really enjoy his/her playstyle.

Confession: I sometimes pick the insufferable hipster outfit to distract my opponents with blinding rage and revulsion. This strategy sometimes backfires.

Good Luck, Have FUN

That last part being the important bit.

Right now I'm trying out every character in normal Smash mode with anywhere between 1-3 CPU opponents, just to get a feel for each character's moves and the flow of battle. Naturally, I'm also unlocking new challengers along as I go.

For twenty years, my main has been Ness. I don't plan on changing that any time soon.

Although I am finding myself to be quite good with Little Mac, but I won't know how good until I play in a competitive setting, and by which I mean play online for an extended period of time.

I have the most success with Ganondorf, which is odd because he's not generally considered a high-tier character. I guess I'm just used to him.

Ultimate is my first Smash game. I'm not great at it, but I do have fun, and I did manage to 100% WoL. I main Link, but I really need to start using him properly and not just spamming up-smash under platforms.

Classic Mode 9.9 is giving me all kinds of grief, though. Zelda seems to be my best bet for that.

I'm finding Kirby VERY useful in WoL, mostly for spamming that Down+Special.

Here's a tip for World of Light. King Dedede, down B, spam that jazz. You are nearly guaranteed to win every spirit battle.

Also, for Classic Mode, I've heard Wolf is best for clearing intensity 9.9.

What's not fun about battle royales?

You land find loot, kill and get killed, rinse repeat that's it nothing more.

Depends on the game. Presentation and graphics can really help those kinds of games.

I played fortnite, I played PUGB, for christ sake I even played minecraft hunger games (which is the original battle royale game mode) and after ten games on each I grew so fucking bored of doing the same thing over and over again, that since then I have been telling people all over the internet to stay away from this gametype.

And guess what? I found a community of like minded people, and realized that there were a lot of people like me that are sick of the battle royale trend found everywhere in video games nowadays and we pretty much boycoted everygame with that stupid feature in them.

Would you count a game like Hyrule Warriors as battle royale?

5009119
I haven't played the game so I can't say, but from what I have seen from the gameplay trailer No.

And seriously Dynasty warriors and Battle royale games are completely different.
