Guess it depends on how much of a Metro fan you are.

I caught the first two on a Steam sale, but didn't even play the first one for 15 minutes.

And after the dev comments yesterday, I wouldn't even get it on console. Threatening your boycotting customers before your game comes out? In what world is that a good fucking idea?

I've been playing the series since 2013. Absokutely love the series. As far as whay the dev said, I dont know. It could be mistranslated and came out the wrong way, which has happened before, could be he was instead trying to say that if the game doesn't sell very well the publisher won't sell more on PC, or he could have just been hostile and threatening, in which case he could be in hot water with the company. To be honest, I couldn't care less what a dev says as long as the game is good. I can't stand Phil Fish, John Carmack or Tim Schafer, but I still enjoy their games.

I can kinda see where the guy is coming from. You spend years making a game, putting all your effort into it, and then your publisher decides to change where the game is going to be sold on PC.

Suddenly, everyone starts raging at your company. Review bombing past entries, wishing your game will fail, and threatening to pirate. All because of something you had no choice in.

I can see where it could be really frustrating. Not that I'm condoning what he said, just that I understand where he's coming from.

Just scratching the surface:

-The Epic Store's security is laughable. People who have downloaded it to try out Fortnite with friends have gotten constant password change emails days later. I will never trust them with my bank info, I don't give a shit how much more the developer gets.

-The Epic Store also bans for VPN use, and that is important to a lot of people.

-Tencent is also involved, and quite frankly, I will not support one of the worst reputable Chinese internet companies.

-I will never patronize a storefront that thinks it is acceptable to bait-and-switch a game two weeks before launch.

That is, personally, why I will never buy any game that is exclusive to the Epic Store. Other players have other reasons.
