Well, it has been confirmed that the Resident Evil 2 "1-shot" demo is coming to all platforms (Xbox, Playstation, Steam) on Friday.
Players will have 30 minutes to play. Once. The timer pauses when in menus. If you complete the demo before time is up, you can restart to use up any time remaining.
Once time is up, you are locked out. No redownloading, no restarting. That's it.
Hype is one thing, but unless this demo takes 30 minutes or less to download, this is a damned waste of bandwidth.
Currently debating if I want that 30-minute taste, or if I want to go in blind on the 26th.
Path of Exile is proving quite the effective distraction, and is by far the most fulfilling and least intrusive F2P game I've ever played.
Better to go in blind in my humble opinion.
It'll make the entire experience all the more worth the wait. Plus, it's not certain at what point in the game the demo will be set in, giving you possible spoilers you wish you hadn't known in advance of playing the full game.
I'm going in completely blind to this game, having only played partially through the first RE remastered game, so it'll be all the more mysterious and fun for me.
I don't know how much you already know the story of the game though, chances are you'll just be replaying a game you're already very familiar with for all I know, but this remake may bring new things to the table you did not expect.
I'm not much of a gamer but, when I do play, I'm slow and methodical, so thirty minutes then lockout would just irritate me. Given that choice, I'd rather go in blind.
