IN WHICH I (sort of) GET INSPIRATION
Hi everyone! Did you miss me? Of course you didn't. But I'll serve up muzix anyway. Here's cover singer Caitlin "Mom0ki" Myers.
Yes, it's just as good as the original, which keeps getting taken down thanks to a greedy photographer. Anyway…
On Friday, I met up with an old friend of mine who, although we chat online often, I hadn't seen face to face in over a decade. I'm madly in love with her and have been for twenty years, but she's already taken. Of course. Still, we had dinner together and discussed international politics (that's her field and sort of mine). The conversation went on for about four hours. It was nice. We may meet up for lunch again tomorrow, this time with me driving to our hometown where she's staying with her parents until universities start up next week.
Just being around her gave me a shot of creative energy to actually start doing things again. On Monday, I decided to set up a Wordpress to post original stories. Some will be repurposed fanfics that were planned as original works to begin with, because it's easier that way. I also finally typed out the treatment for my next big story project -- its working title is "Babymetal In Boston" although, obviously, trademarked names must be changed to protect the innocent and guilty. The story is a comedy, and probably more than a little stereotypical against the Italians and the Irish (a guy named Dermot O'Connell or something really Irish beats up a Japanese guy who doesn't speak English for not speaking English and not giving money to the Provisional IRA "Charity" Fund).
I also did a little more editing on my historical adventure fic, "Annie". As of yesterday, I have 22,200 words of the story -- six chapters, or about two-thirds -- "locked in". I started work on editing Chapter Seven (it and Ch.8 are short), but got distracted. Once I've finished editing, I'll start posting the story. Part of me doubts anyone will read it, but I need to get it out there.
As I write, Donald Trump is about to give a speech. I'm not going to watch it because I don't want to throw things at the television or damage my vocal chords screaming at him. On that note, I regret that I haven't had a good Orangeglow story idea in awhile. I have one story floating in my head that focuses on the last few days of his life (in EQG-land; he's still alive and holds some power in pony-land), but him being the focus is meant to distract from the real purpose of the story, which would be to continue revealing a larger universe plot like I have in a couple of Burrito fics.
I'm sleepy, so I'ma try to sleep now even though it's early by my standards.
Peace out!
I missed you! :D Congrats on getting to spend time with her. :)
Yeah I'm not listening to the Trump speech either. I just met someone from Finland and it's nice to see people who don't support him tbh. Especially when you're constantly being barraged by the vocal minority.
