Notes from Unfinished Stories and Opportunity

    Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

I know I have been quiet for the past several months, but in case you didn't know, allow me to explain.

I've decided that since I have twelve stories that are still unfinished, I'm going to re-read them to see how to plan them out. And while I was reading and making notes, I've come to a realization. Something to give you, the reader, a unique opportunity.

    Plans Going Forward

    Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

Before anyone out there get any ideas that, "Hey, Cracked, I have an idea for a story, do you take up requests?" Or if any of you beg for a sequel from any of the more recent stories, I'm gonna have to do something that I never thought I would say here.

    No.

New Year Plans · 4:36am Jan 1st, 2019

Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

First off, a Happy New Year to all of you who continue to you all! This has been an interesting year for MLP with Season 8 along with it's fantastic Hearth's Warming special. One in which provided plenty of writing material for us writers, and for me especially when I've completed 13 stories which some of them have been on the featured page.

So why am I writing this? Well, this year I thought that I'm gonna let you people in what I'm planing to do for the year of 2019. Of what stories I'm planning on tackling from my unfinished stories, and possibilities of upcoming stories as well.

To start with, I am going to tackle the Inverno sequel: "Inverno's Opus in A Minor" where I'm gonna try get the plot going as well as get in some character development for the other composers as well. But at the same time, it will not be the only story I'll be working on. Sometime in the coming weeks, expect another more... mature story to appear that in a way, TheVClaw had inspired me to do my own take of the pairing of Shining and Big Mac.

Speaking of Big Mac, there's another story I have on the back burner involving the apple farmer. An experimental story that involves having past lives and a famous disaster. Although I can't say if this would be released or not, just be aware that this could be a possibility to be posted.

One of my goals for this year will be the completion of three stories that have been long overdue. "Paper Romance," "Seven Self-Portraits," and "The Lioness and the Unicorn" are on my list of priorities to be completed. Along with finishing a collab with Milo_Chalks on the story, "The Honeymoon." Although, given how busy Milo has been with real life stuff such as his studies and his job, only time would tell when we'll be able to bring that story to its conclusion.

Also, I'm planing for this year to give a rewrite of "Friends and Fairytales," since I've canceled it due to writing myself in a corner that I couldn't get out of. Look back at it, while it is an interesting idea, the execution of it isn't engaging, confusing plots and the way this sort of magic works hardly make sense. So, I'm planing to rewrite it with the latest season in mind where it won't be just Twilight that has to deal with her friends who think that they're famous literary characters, but the Young Six as well.

With that out of the way, let me give you some of the ideas that I may work on in the coming year. Do keep in mind, this part isn't written in stone so these ideas for potential stories I may not end up working on, but don't brush off that I won't do them either. These are in no particular order so here's what I have so far:

Rated Ponystar have given me three ideas that I could use:

Thorax attends the wedding of Spike and Ember, but is heartbroken as he's had a thing for Spike for years yet always held back out of their friendship. During the reception, Spike and Thorax have some alone time where Spike reveals he and Ember knew of his feelings and agreed to give him one night of passion to help him.

Gallus and Smolder hear about the mirror pool and think its a good way to avoid a major test experiment by having the copies study and do the test experiment. However, the experiment ends up killing the clones which makes everyone think they are dead for real. Gallus and Smolder, fearing getting in trouble, have to play along by pretending to be dead.

“A.K. Yearling meets up with her publishing company who tells her that due to Daring Doo book sale going down, they want her to kill off the character and start a new series. Of course, they don’t know that A.K. Yearling is Daring Doo in real life, but she has no choice but to agree under contract. And so Daring Doo goes on another adventure that she is “supposed” to die from, without dying for real.”

Keberos Cloud had suggested the idea of a new angle in the Harmonic series to tackle.

Well I did have this idea for Color's funeral. It would've been this big procession where the royal guards, both day and night, would carry the coffin through the city of Canterlot, Harmonic, the princesses and the citizens following behind them either holding candles or lighting their horns. The moon shining a beam on the coffin, illuminating it's surface making it glow like a blue ball of light, and the pegasi holding lowly glowing lanterns above the coffin and royal family, the procession would've went down the streets where Color and Harmonic would've hung out and went on dates. Flags at half mast, every honorable thing you can think of, and I imagined color would've been called, "the one who healed the broken prince."

There are also some story ideas that I've come up with that is also in this possibility in writing up. One of them being a possible sequel to one of my more famous stories: "My Little Girl." In this story, Lauren Faust, as My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic draws to a close, she is at her home one night when a pegasus guard crawls out from the bed and drawing her back to Equestria. This time, however, the grown up Lauren is convinced that either she is having that dream from her childhood again or is having a hallucination.

There's also a possibility of me doing a Romance story for Sandbar and Gallus. Doing what exactly with these two - I'm not exactly sure. But I like the ship enough to consider to tackle them sometime.

I also probably tackle on doing a ponyfied version of a unique biography. One of a forgotten black composer who has an amazing life named Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. Who was known as "The Black Mozart." I want to adapt his story as a Zebra to be set in a unique place in the MLP universe. Most likely have it set in Prance before and during its revolution which I shall include pieces of his music, mentioning of his fencing skills, and his service in the army.

There's also a unique spin in the Pony on Earth genera that involves Starlight and Sunburst. Only this time, I'm planning on having them come to modern day, nor in America. Rather, I'm thinking of having them visit the world of Europe (most likely England) during the Age of Enlightenment. As in this story, these two figure out a way to go into a different dimension where they're excited to encounter beings from another world and want to record it. At the same time, however, the people of the 18th century want to take a closer look at them as well to prod at them and inquire about their world as well.

I also have one more idea, one that involves a unique spin from the final voyage of Gulliver's Travel's. In this story, the Map sends Twilight and (maybe Fluttershy?) to an island in the South Luna Sea to where they find a forgotten colony of Equestria. One that is populated by wild, two-legged Yahoos, and descendants of the colony that call themselves, Houyhnhnms. Ponies who have long forgotten of where their ancestors came from, developed a language of their own, and created a society founded on pure reason.

Do keep in mind, I may not get to every single story idea as I would be keeping myself busy this year, given how close I am to earning my associate's degree. However, I will still strive to write a thousand words a day to keep producing new stories for you guys. Until then, I wish you all a Happy New Year.

Signed, your fellow Brony,

-CrackedInkWell.

(P.S. I no longer consider myself as a closeted Brony as I've finally told my dad that not only I am one, but I write these stories as well. He doesn't mind.)

To the author - read this post like several hours ago.
onto your story ideas and the ones that jump out at me...
with the inverno sequel - it's so cool seeing these composers ponified. haven't gone into the latest chapter for I wanna read more.

that Collab with Milo_chalks has been great so far but I feel bad cause of him being away for so long he might be forgotten :fluttercry:

the rewrite for friends and fairytales sounds awesome yet crazy in a good way!

I have yet to see/read a angsty thorax fic over spike. except what I did to him in my fic series:'(

on the shiningmac fic - please don't let be titanic (for i've read about three stories animes from yami no matsuei/Descendants of darkness, Gravitation & Naruto. two were unfinished and that Naruto is of a gay pairing I don't like anymore.) and have become numb.

it's been such a long time reading about the violin playing alicorn Harmonic. the idea seems beautiful, heartfelt and could be a short story like the air marshal fic you wrote.

i would love to see you do a fic on the Gallbar (as some people are called it) ship! if you ever get around to doing it?

Last but not least i've never heard of this guy known as ''The Black Mozart'' another classical composer i don't know about!
hmm, his life story must be interesting tale!
