This list is not about my favorite stories of all time. That's my favorites list and it's nearly 200 fics strong.
The List is about stand-out works that deserve more love, for whatever reason. In addition to general reviews of the fics, these blog posts will tell why I picked a particular story and highlight any features the reader should look out for. Spoilers will be appropriately marked, so you'll be able to read my reviews with confidence that you'll be able to read the story itself and experience the same surprise and delight I did when I first found it.
Also, authors and fans of works will be able to submit stories. Your particular selection may not make it onto the list, and the more information you give me for why you think it should be featured, the more likely I'll be to read and post it. Princess Luna and the Guardian of the Faculty Lot

Premise
Princess Luna gets jealous. Not of her sister or the day or anything potentially apocalyptic like that, but of Vice-Principal Luna. Why? Because VP Luna holds power over a realm the likes of which Princess Luna has never encountered, the mysterious Faculty Parking Lot.
Princess Columbia's Synopsis
Was Princess Luna bored? Didn't she have duties to attend? I 'unno, her crossing the portal is a damn good excuse to show time, culture, species, and universe dissonance. Quite honestly, Princess Luna getting served detention and leading the students there in open rebellion without resorting to violence is just feckin' priceless!
Why am I highlighting this fic?
Have you read the story blurb yet? Even just the three paragraphs of descriptive text are hilarious!
What makes this fic particularly good?
It's like reading some of the best satire comedy you've ever found mixed with ponies horse-girls characters who are not appearing in this story.
Who would like this fic?
This is a straight up comedic piece. Could there be some stealth-adventure or hidden-societal-commentary or ninja-catharsis down the road? Sure, but then some of my favorite anime/manga series start off purely comedic and by the time you're done reading you wind up reflecting on the nature of good and evil. Of course, some of my favorite stories of all time are just funny for the sake of being funny.

Yeah, this one's a delight, especially the contrast between Luna's VAST COSMIC POWER, the relative mundanity of her foes... and how the two aren't quite evenly matched, with the humans usually having an edge.
Also, Trixie and Wallflower make for a fantastic supporting cast.
And in my read-it-sooner list it lands.
