New chapter, and further more...
Our favorite writer is right, in a sense. There are people less off than us during the holidays and often we forget them. They are the poor and the sick, or even people who have loss someone dear recently. Heaven's know I have a friend who I lost...And often we forget them in our frivolity and happiness.
But, that's all the more reason to be happy and to try and cheer that person up as well. You don't have make big donations or to give a lot, sometimes it can be as simple as staying with a person, or spending time with a person who is lonely. Sure, it might not seem alot, but you would be amazed at how much just a few moments of companionship can do to help a person and make them happy. They may not act lik they need it, or even resentful, but trust me, those few seconds can mean the world to a single person. Just a few moments of happiness can mean the world to a person who is in pain or sad.
So this year, go ahead and be merry! Be happy and joyful. And if you see a grump, or if you know someone who has lost something precious? Be happy for them, and try to cheer them up a little with your own happiness. Let them feel the spirit too. Religous or not, Christan or something elese, I think being happy and spreading that cheer is more important and a better thing to hold onto...than a thousand bad fanfics.
And as long as yu do this, Friendship is never a failure.
