In the crumpled piece of a once beloved city passed homes that once held such happiness and finally reaching through a massive hole torn in a former castle of generosity, kindness, honesty, laughter, loyalty and above all, friendship, through cracked halls and destroyed rooms, past the turret of memories long fade, within a remains of a round room where so many problems were found and solved, up upon a table of the world they once protected with their wisdoms and lives a battle raged to a weakening pulsed end.
A lone unicorn fell to her knees. Doubt had turned into realization with sounds of explosions in the distance. “No, that wasn’t…”
“But it was Starlight,” The wendigo queen smiled and stopped her assault. “And now Applejack and Rainbow Dash are dead...”
“They can’t be gone too,” Starlight could barely catch her breath under the mighty of the crippling cold pouring from the might beast in front of her. “You lie Elisus--”
Elisus’s laughter interrupted the unicorn. “Do you still continue to doubt my power. They are all dead now.”
“No, Fluttershy--
“That Tree of Harmony can only keep her going for so long. Soon she will join the rest in death. You have nopony left to stand to beside you.” Elisus walked closer and hanged her jaws over Starlight.
Starlight’s sight wandered downward. Voices of six mares echoed in her head. Sounds slowly fading not matter tightly she held onto them. Tears replace each vanishing mare in her mind. “I… can’t do this… I can’t do this...”

“I can’t do it.” Thousands of miles and many months before this event Starlight’s voice echoed through the wood room. Her defiant confusion beconing for answers.
Despite her words, Rex refused to face her. “You are the omnious, there no more reason needed beyond that,” the umbrum gave his answer and kept his composure to a somber tone while continuing his meditation.
“Please answer me. How can I defeat her if I can’t even face her?” Starlight raised her fist up in rage but stopped herself before she could swing. Her hand shakily went back down. Tears rose up in her eyes. “Please, I need a reason to fight.”
“You need a reason!” Flurry Heart got up and spoke up. “You interrupt my mentor for this. Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and even Sunset and Trixie all have their reason for entering this battle and you...” Her own fist tightened.
“But… I--.”
The alicorn mare didn’t hesitate to slap Starlight across the face. “You have every reason! For Equestria, for Pinkie and Cheese, for the dead of Ponyville. Rex’s race, the wendigoes, Trixie’s daughter and… my own parents are nothing but slaves to Elisus’s will--”
“Flurry, it must never be for selfish reasons,” Rex opened his eyes but kept facing away from Starlight. “No matter who is the selfish party, this battle needs to happen.”
The mare retracted her words as her own tears fell. “I… understand.”
Rex reached up and gripped the alicorn’s shaking hand. “Elisus’s reign must end. Not just to save Shining, Cadance’s or Ocellus’s soul, or even to save the umbrums and the wendigoes. It’s not just to save souls of everyone we know, but to save every soul in existence that has lived or will live from this danger.”
“... but why me?!” Starlight pleaded through her own tears. “Why do I have to go back there…?”
“Because you are the Omnious.”
“I KNOW THAT!!” Starlight jumped up practically screaming. “YOU DON’T THINK I KNOW THAT I’M THE CROSSING POINT BETWEEN LIGHT IN DARKNESS!! THAT MY OWN TWIST FAMILY THAT BROUGHT THIS WHOLE TRAVESTY FORTH!!”
Rex gave no response at first to her rage. He continued to face away from her not letting her see any part of his face. Resolute to his own mind and emotions he waited until the air was at its peak to finally give her his answer. “Yes, Hollow Prince brought this all about in his own way, but so did Elisus, both lines are to blame for what has lead to this.”
“Rex… What are you saying?”
“Hmm… why must does a teacher never ask for help?”
“What?... What does that have to do with anything?”
“It a question somepony once asked me. Now that I think about it, it’s ironic that I now ask you the same question on before this battle.”
Starlight stopped her tears looked back to the question. She kept looking for answers but nothing was coming to her. “Fine, why does a teacher never ask for help.”
“It’s for the same reason that a god never asks for help. The same reason that Redsting never asked for help. The same reason that Realta never asked for help. The same reason that Grogar never asked for help. The same reason that Hollow Prince never asked for help. The same reason that Cri--”
“GET TO THE POINT!” Starlight inadvertently shouted. She was at a complete loss. “What do any of these being have in common and what does it have to do with the question?”
Rex seemingly ignored her and continued, but the final names he spoke made everything different. “The same reason that Selena never asked for help. The same reason that Rainbow Dash never asked for help. The same reason that Applejack never asked for help. The same reason that Pinkie Pie never asked for help. The same reason that Rarity never asked for help. The same reason that Fluttershy never asked for help. The same reason that Twilight never asked for help”
“What…?” Starlight stood up at those names. “What… What do those names have to do with it?”
“They all have to do with this question.” Rex finally turned around to face. “They are all teachers and have all taught you something truly important.”
“And that is…”
He pointed to her heart. “You are the Omnious.” then he pointed to her head. “You already know the answer, once you understand what the answer truly means you can finally defeat her.”

Back on the fields of turmoil snow quickly covered all except the two opposing Starlight kept concentrating until everything became clear. Her doubts faded and she activated her power. Her head lifted up, flesh transformed and her power rose to the infinity of possibility. Horns and wings grew forth.
She smiled and closed her eyes. Senses showing her that she wasn’t alone. The ideals of the other six were beside her. Pinkie Pie’s laughter, Rarity’s generosity, Fluttershy’s kindness, Applejack’s honest, Rainbow Dash’s loyalty… and Twilight’s friendship. They were always there but there was another ideal there she never realized. It was always there since the day she was born and now she could see it. See what all had done for her.
She opened her eyes and raised her sword toward the mighty beast of rage and malice. The queen of frost and snow could only roar at her in return.
“Now I see, I wasn’t just born from light and darkness, I molded into those part so I could rise above them. Rise above my teachers.” Starlight posed. “They don’t need to ask for help because I willingly give it. As the Omnious I give help… I give hope.”
