This list is not about my favorite stories of all time. That's my favorites list and it's nearly 200 fics strong.
The List is about stand-out works that deserve more love, for whatever reason. In addition to general reviews of the fics, these blog posts will tell why I picked a particular story and highlight any features the reader should look out for. Spoilers will be appropriately marked, so you'll be able to read my reviews with confidence that you'll be able to read the story itself and experience the same surprise and delight I did when I first found it.
Also, authors and fans of works will be able to submit stories. Your particular selection may not make it onto the list, and the more information you give me for why you think it should be featured, the more likely I'll be to read and post it. Premise
Shortly after the Events of The Friendship Games, the bitterest of all possible sirens runs into Twilight Sparkle. Through HijinksTM, she's 'forced' to become (ugh!) friends with the dweeb.
Princess Columbia's Synopsis
A cute little divergence slice of life about yet another unlikely pair. All we need now is some Apple-Dagio and Sun-ata and we'll have a clean sweep of unlikely ships.
Why am I highlighting this fic?
Yes, this is another fic featuring the Sirens. I'm not doing this on purpose, I swear! It's just a good fic that hasn't had nearly enough views on my list of stories that I'm reading new chapters as they come in.
In all seriousness, it's a fantastic fic that deserves a read, especially if you're burned out on clop, epic adventure, or ponies.
What makes this fic particularly good?
While Adagio's characterization is a bit...off, everyone else is spot on and the only slightly-OOC nature of Adagio's representation is that she's a little too eager to get Aria paired up with a friend with no explanation on how or why she drank the friendship Kool-Aidtm.
Who would like this fic?
Redemption, the Big Bad Wolf protecting the Injured Little Lamb, and Odd Couple trope fans will enjoy this fic.

I'll continue with my work, and I must apologize for not being able to make Sunata canon, but I do enjoy that ship
