    2023 Year in Review

2023. What a year. I keep getting this feeling... this thought that, "Okay, once I get through this, then I can settle down. I just need to make it to the weekend. I just need to finish this busy end-of-the-month. Once I get through this quarter. Oh, it's 2024 already..? Fuck."

    Happy Hearth's Warming!

    and Merry Jinglemas!
I requested a story about how Twilight's Ponyville friends celebrated the holiday the year before she arrived.
    FanOfMostEverything wrote for me:

    EFor a Given Value
Twilight united five dubiously sane mares into an unstoppable force for good... which has some implications for what they were like before she came to town.

Incestuish: And Inventing Words · 2:12pm Dec 18th, 2018

The English language owes a great debt to Shakespeare. He invented over 1700 of our common words by changing nouns into verbs, changing verbs into adjectives, connecting words never before used together, adding prefixes and suffixes, and devising words wholly original.

Carrying on that tradition, I, The World's Strongest Writer™ shall add one of my own:

Incestuish

Incestuish: An act in the spirit of, but not technically biological, incest. The focus being more on the nature of the relationship itself, rather than any blood relation. It is incestuous-ish.

Some examples include:
Twilight Sparkle and her adopted son, Spike.
Twilight Sparkle and her adopted brother, Spike.
Twilight Sparkle and her adopted brother, Shining Armor, in the Friendship is Witchcraft AU.
Twilight Sparkle and her sister-in-law, Cadance.
Night Light and his daughter-in-law, Cadance
Step-siblings/ parents/ children.
Uncertain relations such as Pinkie Pie and Applejack.
'Spiritual' sisters, such as Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo.
and of course, role-playing, to include a Changeling disguised as a relative.

As a footnote, the [Incestuish] tag now has quite a bit of traction on derpibooru.

Ah yes, the step-mother/step-sister section of pornhub

AJ and Big Mac
Apple Bloom and Big Mac
AJ and Apple Bloom

4982698 No, that's the regular kind. :derpytongue2:

Celestia/Luna and Cadance.
Chrysalis and Every Changeling!

Get your Incestuish on!:moustache::twilightblush::rainbowwild::scootangel::trollestia:

4982703 The nature of the relationship between Cadance and her 'aunts' in the show is vague at best. But sorry, Chrysalis is the canon biological mother of all changelings.

Although I do like your enthusiasm.

Get your Incestuish on!

1 out of 2, I'll take it!
And if I was Cadance it would be 2 for 1!:trollestia: It a reach I know, but what a reach!

So incestuish Is a subset of incest

4982698
Why not AJ x Big Mac x Apple Bloom. The more the merry! Get the whole family in on it at the same time!

4982711 Incestuish is a subset of the incest fetish, yes.

So I've been inadvertently reading incestuish fics then for a long ass time, then.

God-fucking-dammit, Twilight and Spike. :facehoof:

I have one in mind but I don't want spoil anything on my stories. I could use help if it applies to what I'm thinking.

4982718
It's incest for COWARDS.

This makes me tingle in the most wonderous of places.

Mostly, my brains...

question,
Would inseki also fall under incentuish?

4982754
Cool,
Also a big fan of your works!

4982697
You mean, ALL of Pornhub?

Intriguing.

What of ApplePie?

Step one: fimfiction and derpibooru

Step two:

Step three: the Oxford English Dictionary

Celestia and Twilight with them having a somewhat mother/daughter relationship as well as a teacher/student one.

Once again, Shakespearicles is maintaining his reputation as the world's strongest writer. :derpytongue2:

You're doing very important work here, my friend.

I read this when you first put it up and I agree mostly. However running in to some stories that obviously fall under this umbrella I have discovered at least to me one on that list is different than the others. The entire list except the last entry fall under familial feelings that are violated twisted changed grow evolve or are simply added to by the new romantic/sexual aspects to the relationship. The last one however doesn't always. It can especially if the incest committing partner is unaware of the RP/disguise. However when they are aware it can often fall into another fittingly made up word: Wincest. If the participant in the RP has no real incestuous feelings and and is doing it for kink or thrill alone then the story doesn't feel like incest to me. It really is metafictional wincest which seems different than pure fictional incest, again to me. Yes that type of wincest could easily also fall under this new word but it has a very different feel than the other examples.

Going to agree with my brother re his comment. I feel if it's something where rp is involved and there's little to no emotional connection (like all those 'step sister fucks step-brother' porn videos out there-unless they grew up together, were raised as siblings and have those feelings) it's not really incest. Heck-it's not even wincest. It's a superficial co-opting of a fetish in order to make something seem more titillating than it really is. IMO a story about that last kind of wincest doesn't count.

The English language owes a great debt to Shakespeare.

I mistakenly read Shakespearicles there. :rainbowlaugh:
