In which SOH176 reminisces about BronyCon 2018 and these blog posts, gives some heartfelt thanks, and wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.
Sunday, December 16, 2018: Four Months and Change after BronyCon 2018
And here we are: the closing post of this “Highlights from BronyCon 2018” series. As I mentioned in the Introduction, I had hoped that by sharing my memories, I would inspire others to share in kind. I had hoped to spark some conversations in the comment sections and keep the memories alive for just a bit longer. But even though I have failed in that regard, I do not regret having undertaken to type this series of blog posts at all. It was a good experience nonetheless, and I am glad that I at least was able to relieve what may arguably be called four of the greatest days of my life.
However, I cannot say that this series was a complete failure. And to that, I want to give a few shout-outs:
1. To Teric Dragon, who was the first to comment on any of my posts. He commented on DeviantArt regarding the post “Is that Keyframe?” Thank you, and hopefully I’ll see you again at BronyCon 2019.
(And by the way, if you’re reading this, Teric: I hope that you reconsider becoming the BLU Pyro for TF2 Analysis Anarchy. If they added Jasper Pie as BLU Soldier, then I believe your “I’m not an analyst” excuse goes out the window!)
2. To FanOfMostEverything, who commented on FiMFiction regarding the post “Three-Way Magic”. Thank you for giving it a read and leaving your thoughts. If you play Magic: The Gathering Arena, please let me know. I have a Red/Green Dragon deck that I would like your input on.
3. To Aramau the Fiery Secretary, who commented on Twitter regarding the post “‘That Game that Nobody Ever Wins’”. I hope that I might be able to match my skills against you in Prance come BronyCon 2019. I’ll definitely lose, but still, I would love to be able to say that I at least tried to stand my ground against the legendary Aramau, Crystal Mountain Pony Con 2018's unofficial Queen of Prance!
4. To Lunacorva, who commented on FiMFiction regarding the post “FLUTTERBOMB!” (which, if I’m reading things correctly, is the most-viewed of my posts. Then again, most of that could be me going back and reading it, as it is my favorite). I’m going to be keeping an eye out for you, especially come BronyCon 2019; that picture won’t sign itself!
In addition, I would also like to give a shout-out to Vikthepony, who also commented on “Is That Keyframe?” I’m glad that I encouraged you to put together your own blog posts about BronyCon 2018. Here’s hoping that you’ve been encouraged to reach out a bit more at BronyCon 2019 and make even better memories next year.
And to all of you who have followed me on DeviantArt, or who have just read these posts, I thank you all as well.
And as this post is coming up nine days before Christmas 2018, I would also like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hearthswarming, and a prosperous New Year 2019.
