Doctor Smaug Holmes in

After a month of not seeing this movie, I've finally decided to chip in and watch this. Now that Super Smash Bros has been released and the meme has ceased, how well does this fare?

To be honest, I feel this is something more of a comfort zone project. Illumination having the "Despicable Me" series, which focuses on a thief becoming a secret agent while raising a family, and now with the Grinch, which has an outcast resort to thievery before becoming welcome. It's better than their take on "The Lorax," but if you've at least seen the Chuck Jones short, you aren't missing out at all. Besides, the remake with Jim Carrey already did the expanding on the characters (albeit with rather creepy Who's).

I was hoping for at least a Despicable Me cameo in the end credits, but no. In all fairness, if you've already seen it, you might understand. But if you haven't, I'd rather you just watch the original short instead. Clearly, the Infinite Gauntlet didn't do well to our dear Doctor Strange.
