MLP Gameloft game - bug or intentional? · 5:16am Dec 10th, 2018
Something funny's going on with my game, and oddly enough, it's *not* something that keeps me from collecting more of these little electronic ponies. In fact, it is the other way around. Details below the break.
In the current School of Harmony 'Boss Battle' scenes where you collect Magic Coins, you *should* just watch your little Twilight Sparkle automatically zap endless rows of bad guys and collect coins, which you then spend on Hats or Pants that make her more powerful, so she can progress to more difficult levels, with bigger rewards, and so on. So far, so good. Everything is working right so far, and my little Twilight is up to 121 power on her route to attack Tirek next at 306 power.
But...
If I tap rapidly on the Boss Battle screen on the left side, *sometimes* it generates a coin. Or a string of 5-10 coins. Sometimes I have to tap around, sometimes just in front of her nose. And it *only* works when rapidly tapping on the screen makes a little white 'donut' of light around Twilight, and after about 30 coins or so, it quits working until you close and open the battle screen just right. Nothing earth shattering, just odd enough to wonder if anybody else noticed it too.
I didn't even know they'd fixed the game so you could play it again.
Yes, I’m seeing it too although I think it’s intentional as I vaguely remember seeing a message during the instruction phases that I mostly ignored saying “Tap here”
The game doesn't work properly on my phone anymore, but that sounds like the are some clickable decorations or enemies you use element shards on? Perhaps they're there by mistake and/or don't display properly.
The best glitch I ever got was continuous "daily" rewards for about an hour during a daylight savings time changeover night because it confused server time and local time. Got hundreds of gems and tons of coins.

Yeah, that was part of the event's tutorial albeit a "blink and you'll miss it" thing. From what I can tell you get the chance for those bonus coins about every hour, also signified by little coins bubbling up from Twilight, so it's kinda like when you could find and tap a villain on the map for a few extra event currency in the other events.
I suppose they did it to make the event a bit more interactive than the one with Sombra? So you don't have to be dependent on sheer math quite as much. Either way I think it's a nice little add-on and the event in general seems a lot more balanced so far than the Sombra one was.
There was a prompt to "tap here", so I'm pretty sure it's intentional.
There's a bubble that's temporary. That's what you're clicking. It should be centered on Twilight.

*blink blink blink*
What the heck does Twilight need with all of those Pants?
Haven't played the Gameloft game for years at this point. It's firmly in the pile of games I'd rather look at/hear about than actually play.

Standard MMORPG logic. Pants increase stats. Why do you think Celestia never takes off her regalia?

Twilight Needs More Pants sounds like a good story title XD
4979069 Go4it!
4978981 4978965 4978978 So it's a bonus for people who actually read the rules. No wonder I missed it. Heavy irony, since about half of my day is taken up by talking with people on the phone who can't follow directions either. :)
4978968 4978964 Admittedly, it doesn't work perfectly on my phone, since they assume everybody has a bigger phone and can read teeny tiny writing, so there's a lot of squinting involved. I'm supposed to get an upgrade this year, although not an iPhone 10xyz. (Darnit, I'm old! I want a home button!)
4979044 MLP as a MMORPG. The mind boggles.
"Darling, if I could have a word with you? You see, there was a terrible accident during loot distribution."
"Rarity, I was very careful and followed all of the Master Looter protocols we agreed to."
"Yes, but you see, the Element of Generosity... It's the wrong piece. I already *have* my Necklace of Divine Grace, and the stats it bestows are positive, I'll admit, but it just doesn't work with my piece bonus. Perhaps if we could trade, since my headpiece doesn't tie into a set bonus anywhere, and--"
"Soulbound." Twilight adjusted the Tiara of Magic and admired herself in the mirror. "Once I got it, I had to try it on."
"Oh." Rarity heaved a sigh and put on her new necklace, then stood next to Twilight and regarded their reflections with a skeptical eye. It was a sign of how much Twilight was getting to know her new friend that she spoke first.
"Look, Rarity. We'll do some heroic instances to get you some new gear, and you can build an entire new set around that necklace. After all, it's unique to the server. Then once we get geared up enough, we can do raids. And I'll even let you critique everypony else's outfits. How's that sound?"

I'm getting a new Samsung phone next year. Either the 10's or wait for the 11's or maybe whatever number Note they'll be on.
Also, nice rpg lines.
OK... the green hat doesn’t clash something chronic with pretty purple pony princess at all!!
And does anyone else think that when Twilight does the buck attack, it looks like she’s farting magic missiles?
4979945 (squinting at my tiny screen) I think it looks a little like Pinkie's Hearth's Warming hat.
4979149 I have to admit to being influenced by Friendship is Dragons the Comic Series, an awesome little tidbit of the web.

Now that you mention it...
