So...today is my 4-year anniversary on FIMFiction and I couldn't be happier about being here. I've made some amazing friends, and seen two of them come to my neck of the planet so we could hang together and have fun. That and the reading the fantastic King Sombra stories here and contributing to his epic-ness by writing has made it all worthwhile.
This past year saw the creation of my website to honor him, hailkingsombra.com, and our Sunday ritual of getting together on a livecast over on Picarto.tv nearly every week to encourage each other's writing and be there for each other when times get tough. I took the plunge and wrote in depth about the last character in the world I thought I could do in character - Shining Armor and pushed myself in ways I hadn't achieved in writing before.
I've written A LOT of horsewords each year I've been here - even in 2018 when my writing came to a screeching halt due to the rehabilitating of my back in October. I am fighting to get back to writing on a regular basis, and while it's hard and painful and I get discouraged and frustrated at times, I will never give up until I make it a reality.
Here's hoping to make that a reality in this new, fourth year.
