    Merry Christmas, all!

My track record with Christmas releases is no longer perfect, but I do try! Only one 5k chapter of Sharing the Nation this year, though I'm hoping to have 5k more out before the new year. To make up for it, though, I've also brought out the Harry Potter crossover that's been languishing in

    Nothing this year, sorry

Man, this has been… a year. Shortly after my last blog post, I had some (non-covid) medical issues that somewhat took over my life for a while, and while that's all in the past now, I'm only back where I was beforehand—completely unproductive. I was determined to get back into things at NaNoWriMo, but work steamrolled those plans and I just haven't been able to find the words to write something

More burned out than I thought

Jeeze, it's been four months since I decided not to force myself to generate updates for the sake of Patreon and gave myself the freedom to write whatever I wanted… but I haven't really written anything. I've done a thousand words or so here and there to play around with other fandoms, but nothing of significance.

    Shocking, I know.

Tis the season for status updates. Not as much the other kind of updates as I would like, though

It wouldn't be Christmas if I hadn't been completely incommunicado for at least a month or two beforehand, right?

Unfortunately, I don't have chapters of Sharing the Nation to post for Christmas this year. I do have some Equal Opportunity Ascension chapters that only Patreon has seen, and I'll post those, I guess, but it's clear this… isn't working.

    Christmas Updates!

    Merry Christmas!

As I've done every year since I started writing, I have updates here for you on Christmas day.

( It might look like there's a missing one, but the chapter for Sharing the Night that year was taken down and reposted)

I don't make enough positive blog posts, so here's a friend's kickstarter · 12:16am Dec 5th, 2018

As the title says, this post doesn’t contain any whining, cringe-worthy self-deprecation (except this line, I suppose) or apologies. Weird, right? But hey, it’s Christmas and my patreon just received an incredible 50% boost from a single user (just for the month), so I figured, hell, my friend is doing this thing that I have no part in and is a completely different genre than my stories, so why not share the love a little?

Become K.C. Morgan, paranormal investigator, and search a New England mansion for your missing father. Battle the forces of corruption infesting the mansion armed only with your wits and an old .38 revolver, and gather scrolls of forbidden lore. But the more you discover, the more warped and twisted the world – and you – become.

Uncover the story of Lore Finder, a 2D metroidvania and a modern queer reimagining of the cosmic horror genre. Coming to a PC near you on Steam.

Eniko is a good friend of mine with a couple of games already under her belt and the kickstarter is already funded at the basic level, so I’m comfortable with linking it here for anyone who’s paying attention. Give it some eyeballs at least; some of those stretch goals are super shiny. Girlfriend mode is the most eye-catching, of course, because who doesn’t like alternate character/gameplay modes? But it’ll be super disappointing if the VA goal isn’t met—just listen to it!

I’m told it’s Adam Harrington, who also voiced Bigby from The Wolf Among Us, but I literally just copied and pasted that since I’ve never actually played it. I know a good voice when I hear it, though, and villain monologues are awesome (Err, why is Astri kind of a broken record, then? It’s 50/50 because the focus is supposed to be on Twilight and Luna and so I could literally have the main cast stand around her condemning her to death and have absolutely no-one comment that it’s out of character)

Cue said comments flooding in here now that I’ve implied peoples’ approval.

Err, sorry, I kinda got off track. Retro cosmic/body horror game. Eyeballs, figurative and literal. Link it to anyone you think would be interested, maybe?

Hey, wait! Body horror! A Sparkle-ling Perfection has that! This post isn’t entirely off-topic! HUZZAH :yay:

I suppose as long as I’m actually engaging in gratuitous promotion for once, give my patreon some consideration, too? It’s literally keeping me alive these days.

Have a Merry Christmas, everyone, and look forward to the last(!) chapter of Sharing the Night!

Until everyone convinces me to do something else in the world… You have no idea how worried I am that everyone is just here for StN…

Crap, I had promised nothing negative for this post!

I'm also here for A Sparkle-ling Perfection, definitely, and am at least inclined to give a well-disposed look towards anything else you might post or point to. :)
