What Do I Think About G5? · 2:52am Nov 25th, 2018
Well, honestly, since I don't actually watch the show, it's hard to say.
I joined Fimfiction because I was impressed at what the fans did.
I'm pleased to see that some are optimistic about the upcoming revamp and I hope it attracts the same attention and love from fellow artists and writers as before.
I hope I can count on Fimfiction to still be around, at least in terms of convenience, and for as many of my friends I've made on this site to stick around.
I don't feel like giving that up just yet. It's got me through some very tough times.
Really, I think we can prove we've learnt something from the show by giving G5 a chance, banding together as friends and remembering the good that's come out of all this and may yet continue.
I mean, attention for Avatar: The Last Airbender didn't end with the show. A solid conclusion and future potential could send waves of inspiration near and far.
Since I hope to take up Voice Acting, I hope to have a chance with some more MLP stuff, fan-made or perhaps canon (I don't want to be too optimistic here) so I'm up for it.
In terms of fandom, I lean more towards indulgent than protective. If G5 is good and learns from its predecessor, I'll be fine with it. I hope others will too.
I got into MLP quite late in the game and had a lot of diversions on the way.
Please don't give up.
A good thought, my thoughts exactly. I really can't imagine the fandom will end. I mean, look at Avatar: The Last Airbender and Danny Phantom, their fandoms still exist, despite the shows having ended years ago.
