AO3 Alert: There is a problem in the workflow here. · 7:08pm Nov 18th, 2018
"Hello there!" Masterweaver said, sweeping into the room grandeously. "We've got a lot of work to do!"
"Uhuh."
"Like, a lot. We need to put out some pony, but that should be easy enough. And there are a few other things we should get cracking on as well, a few large projects with lots of fans."
The woman at the desk nodded vaguely. "Yeah, sure."
Masterweaver folded his sleeves. "I'm considering conquering Madagascar and turning it into a bed factory, so I can earn enough money to build a summer home on Neptune."
"Sounds like fun." She continued penning down her project, undeterred.
Masterweaver sighed, walking across the room and putting a sleeve on her shoulder. "Could you at least tell me why you're not listening?"
"Wha--? Oh." She finally looked up. "Well, you see, I decided to make this angsty oneshot about the RWBY v6 stuff. I'm calling it Breaking Point. And then I figured, you know, those zombies from that new anime look kinda interesting, so I'm doing a series of interviews with them about their Sensations. I've got two chapters of that already--"
"Look." Masterweaver inhaled slowly. "Look, I... I get that you bounce around a lot. But we're supposed to be a team. We have obligations. These are great, but... come on, girl, we've got stuff in our backlog clogged up!"
The muse crossed her arms. "And who's fault is that, mister overly ambitious?"
"...Partially mine," Masterweaver admitted, "but you're not blameless either. At least try to get some pony out this week, alright?"
"Fine, whatever." The muse turned back to her desk. "I've got... fifty words in this one thing, I'll see if I can't come up with another thousand or two."
Sounds about right yeah
I feel your pain.
Have you considered writing crossovers?
If you want to supply people with pony, but also want to branch out into the other stuff, that seems like a sensible compromise.
Also, from your output of how many new stories have sprung up on your AO3-account, I suspect you may be suffering from "I must finish old stories first"-syndrom when it comes to your MLP-fics, which might be a contributing factor in your muse being drawn away from those.
