As it turns out, our family will be traveling over much of the Thanksgiving week. And while I hate to leave people hanging... the truth is that I do, in fact, love a good cliffhanger. 
My hope is that you’ll feel Book 2 of To Serve In Hell ends with that.
So: updates will take one full week’s break due to the holiday. Look for Book 3 to begin with Chapter 20 on November 26th.

Behind the scenes, I’ve been using the chapter-a-day release schedule of To Serve In Hell to put it through one last round of polish. I feel like it’s benefiting from that. So while I could continue releasing chapters while I’m away, I’d rather slow down just a touch to make sure the quality stays high.
Let me take this opportunity to thank you the readers for making this an awesome release. A lot has gone into this on the back end, and it’s fantastic to see it being read and getting a good response. Let me also direct some gratitude and attention to Pascoite, a titan of the fan editing community, who’s still actively working on some editing in Book 4.
But I also want to give an incalculably vast THANK YOU to my main man Moosetasm, who continues to put up with multiple requests per day from me for all kinds of assistance, great and small. This story would not have turned out as it is without his help. Please: if you’re enjoying the story, take a moment to show him some e-love (of a reasonable/legal variety). 
And fear not. In the immortal words of Arnold Schwarzenegger: I’ll be back.

I think this will be my last real longfic until my life situation is materially different, which might take the better part of two decades given the ages of our kids. Novel-writing takes more time than I can really afford to spend away from family etc. right now. Getting it to happen with this one has been a bloody business... not without its joys, but certainly with a great deal of struggle.
However: at this point nothing short of my untimely demise would jeopardize the rest of the release. And even if that were to happen, Moose and others know where everything is.
