Summoning Twilight - (Un)official Soundtrack! · 5:33pm Nov 16th, 2018
Hey everypony! With the completion of Summoning Twilight and how well-received it was (in no small part because of the fantastic Disney-centered music choices) I wanted to put together an unofficial soundtrack for the story. Below is the link to the youtube playlist I put together with songs from the story itself, mentioned during dialogue, or just plain fit in the theme of the story itself, with some bonus tracks for good measure!
Please keep in mind that, due to copyright laws, this is very obviously an unofficial soundtrack and pretty much all these belong to Disney. But, on the upside, any one of these songs is guaranteed to put a smile on your face during a long day at work! Just slap on some headphones and put the playlist on random!
Enjoy.
Summoning Twilight (Un)official Soundtrack!

Sunset's chosen song to show her friends magic
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious - Marry Poppins
The loser of the coin toss between this song and Day-o
I'll Make A Man Out Of You - Mulan
Bonus song - Sunset and Twilight get ready for a busy day. Because I can't help but sing along every single time.
Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers - Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers
Bonus song - Sunset and Rarity's favorite duet as children. Because I think of the two of them singing this together and it makes me absolutely die.
And there we have it! That should tide you all over until I get to work on the one-shot I have planned to bridge Summoning Twilight and Freeing Sunset (Hint: Sunset's cute-ceañera)
Hope you all have a wonderful day!
"I'll Make a Man Out Of You"
Now I have to link these.

It was indeed -- but was originally written/sung by Harry Belafonte

yes but I figured thats where sunny heard it from.....or it was twilights idea to sing it at first before sunny talked to them. I guess twilight has been hanging around sunbutt to long.... past goddess excluded

Lol nahh -- that was all Sunny's idea. And she most definitely got the idea from Beetlejuice. I just thought it would be better to credit the artist who sang the song rather than Beetlejuice in the tracklist.

I heard there trying to get a Beetlejuice 2 movie of the ground.....including another bill and ted movie they actually got a main plot turns out bill and ted never created the song that made everything awesome there are now a washed up band and everybody pretty much hates them including theyre kids cause theyre pretty much old and don't fit the times. and now they have to "face the music" which is the title of said movie and pretty much have to become relevant again in a reunion tour and create the song they were supposed to do in the first place instead of slacking off
I love this soundtrack! And I love that you used the song I suggested, I'm picturing it now, and I love it!

Hah. I thought you'd appreciate it. Thanks for the idea on Eye to Eye. FYI -- I actually thought of a sweet scene for the sequel to use Stand Out. Should be groovy.

Oh, now I'm DEFINITELY looking forward to the sequel!
Did Sunset know the words to “Substitutiary Locomotion” or did she have to look it up to prepare for that duet?
Also, does their magic let then do song s “Parodies?” I had a funny idea that either Twi or Flurry would do “With the Ponies” to the tune of “Under the Sea” to convince Sunset to leave her human world problems behind and stay in Equestria forever.

Sunset is a certified Disney nut; she knows most, of it all songs from any Disney movie. Therefore, she knew Substitutiary Locomotion like the back of her hand and could whip it out at a mere mention

She could definitely do that lol! The magic of music is that special little feeling you get when you hear a good song; the thing that makes you want to sing, or dance, or just head-bop along. Disney is especially catchy, so the princesses love to use this either directly, as parodies, or just as using their melodies!
Any updates on the sequel?
