Story Ideas For Authors

So, I’ve been reading stories on here for awhile now and my brain starts coming up with ideas for stories that I could write. However, I haven’t written in quite some time and I’m a bit rusty. So, I thought I would post some of my ideas and if any decent author wants to try them out. I would definitely love to see them, whether it’s a one shot or a series. I won’t be posting all my ideas, as I still want some for myself if I ever decide to get off my lazy ass and start writing again.

So, with that said, here we go....

The Dazzlings Reversed: We all know what The Dazzlings were like: Adagio was kinda slutty, Aria was like a Goth, and Sonata was pretty much a complete idiot. But what if these personalities were influenced by their gems and with their gems destroyed after Rainbow Rocks, their personalities suddenly do a complete 180?

Adagio is now like EQ Fluttershy: Timid, shy, very soft spoken (even more so than Fluttershy), and liable to jump in fright at her own shadow. She also wears very dumpty and unrevealing clothing (the kinda thing that would make Rarity faint).

Aria is now kinda like Pinkie: Very bright, positive, and bubbly. And while she still wears the same kind of clothes, they are in brighter shades than what she normally wears.

Sonata becomes like Sci-Twi: extremely intelligent (maybe even more so than Sci-Twi) and nerdy. She even figures out a way to reconstitute their gems, but doesn’t want to return back to idiotic self, so she doesn’t tell anyone about it. She pretty much wears the same sort of clothing that she has always worn, though she adds a pair of glasses to her ensemble (even though she doesn’t need them and they’re really just a pair of frames with fake lenses in them). Finally, she absolutely HATES tacos, to the point that even seeing one sends her running to the bathroom to throw up.

Now, while we never see The Dazzlings after Rainbow Rocks, this version returns to Canterlot High. How will Sunset and the Humane 5 deal with this version of The Dazzlings? Also, what would their influence do to The Friendship Games?

Multiple Sunset Personalities: Due to her multiple transformations and her new ability to read minds, Sunset develops Multiple Personality Disorder. It will be subtle at first, saying something that someone says or using a movement that they use (someone might something and she’ll use Rarity’s “Pshaw” movement). However, as time progresses, it begins to get worse (especially if she uses her powers more) and she begins actually acting like the others (for instance, if she read Fluttershy’s mind, she would act and even dress like her). And the worse part is that she doesn’t know that she is doing it, unless she reads one of the other girls’ mind (which would be a vicious cycle).

It will be up to the girls to help Sunset anyway that they can, even maybe one or all of them venturing to Equestria to seek Twilight or Celestia’s help.

What will happen to Sunset in the mean time? Is she doomed to switch personalities at the drop of a hat for the rest of her life or will everyone be able to help her?

A Human Sunset In Equestria: While I have seen MANY stories where Sunset or one of the other girls end up as a pony in a human world, I have seen maybe 1 that is the opposite. And I desperately want to see this, so here we go.

Due to a convergence of the planets or some kind of McGuffin, when Sunset enters the portal to visit Equestria (and this can be done for Princess Twilight or even Starlight), she exits the portal as a human instead of her unicorn self. And due to the McGuffin, she can not return for a week or more.

And I know what you are thinking, Twilight can just use a spell of some kind to make her look like a unicorn. However, I’m vetoing that idea. For whatever reason, magic does not work on her at all, not even Celestia’s can help her. Her own personal magic works (Ponying up and her geode work just fine. It’s just stuff that would effect her in any way shape or form that doesn’t work, so no quick fixes).

Now, with that being said, what would be the ramifications of a human in a land of “mostly” ponies? How terrified would the ponies be when seeing this strange creature that stands upright (Lyra would probably pass out from sheer bliss)? What about issues like food, clothing, and the like (considering that Sunset is considerably larger than the ponies)?

If Sunlight writers are tackling this, what are the moral implications of having a relationship when one of you is a human being and the other is a pony? Please don’t have them just jump into bed immediately. This is a pretty big thing and really needs to be dealt with in the proper way.

Just please do this properly and give it the justice it deserves if you do decide to write it.
