Human beings are wonderfully terrible things.

That is a truth Harley Laurel stands by.

For a self-described cynic who smiles with eyes that have long lost their light, the oxymoron is rather fitting. Perhaps that is exactly what she is – an oxymoron – contradiction after callous contradiction, lie after carefully crafted lie.

This is what I have sown.

Somehow, giving a game to Cynical has evolved into 4 guys in a chat for Danganronpa 1, giving Makoto Naegi a voice like a Bond villain. I don't know whether to be proud or terrified.

Also, Ember's playing Kazoo for it. I think that helps to balance it towards one of those.

When you introduce your friend to something you love, and they immediately become a bigger fan of it than you are.

To the point where approximately 50% of the dialogue between the two of you over the past couple months has been centered on it, and he's diving even deeper into the fanbase then you are, coming up with new videos and fanfictions at a rate far faster than you can actually keep up with, and is immediately pressuring all of his immediate friends to give said thing a looksee, making you wonder to

How Charles and Friends broke the internet. · 12:10pm Nov 2nd, 2018

So I was playing Jackbox with some bros (and some other folks I'd never met before), and after playing a couple rounds of Fibbage, we decided to Break the Internet, and soon discovered that we were all really horrible people, which naturally made for some really great comedy. To give some form of scale, this screenshot was far and away the least offensive thing we did, and as such, was the only one I felt comfortable enough to share.

I feel this needs a bit of context for how this game works. Each round starts off by giving you some random thing to say, such as to say your opinions on your mother or something like that. Then, once everyone has input an answer, each player's answer is randomly sent to another person without the question to give it context, at which point we're given a different question that relates to their answer. Once that's done, the answer's to the first question are shown on the bottom, with the new out of context quote from the 2nd person above it, at which point everyone votes for the quote they think is best, be it the funniest, most offensive, or whatever. Points are then dealt out accordingly, and the next round begins.

For example, in the screenshot above, I was first given the question to describe politicians in three words. Naturally, I went with the answer 'fucking idiotic glory-hogs'. I then got assigned Cynical's answer, which was 'He steals from minorities', alongside the new prompt "The below quote would be an especially poor endorsement for _______". In keeping with the political theme, I went with Hillary Clinton, not only because Hillary Clinton paid a lot of lip service to minorities, but also specifically because the prompt said "HE steals from minorities.", adding another level of ridiculousness to the endorsement, which resulted in the interesting statement under Cynical's name saying "Hillary Clinton: He steals from minorities." I'm just surprised that someone else apparently was on the same mindset as me and chose Bill Clinton for my quote. I guess the midterms were on quite a few people's minds.

It was really dumb, but also a lot of fun. It's just a shame that I ended up losing the lead I held for most of the game on the final question by a quote from Obs which shows soemone's chosen picture of a peaceful paradise beach alongside the quote "Everything's so peaceful now that those damn [REDACTED] are dead." (for the sake of not wanting to come across as psychotically bigoted, I'm censoring the specific word he used. You can come to your own conclusion what that word was, though I will give you a hint and say it did not start with an 'n'.) Still, if I had to lose to anything, I'm glad it was something as shocking as that. I love me some offensive haha's.

Basically what I'm saying is if you have some friends with decent senses of humor, play Jackbox. It's a lot of freaking fun, and I'm hoping for a round 2.

Survive the Internet is the best internet simulator around.

Yes it is. One question: for the screenshot above, do you remember what the context for your "He Steals from Minorities" line was? I'm just curious.

"What is the best thing about Indiana Jones?"
I figured it would be an absolute riot of laughs, and it seems I guessed correctly.

That sounds like so much fun

It is. We might be having another session at 2 today, so if you're curious and want to try it out, we might be able to get you in, if you want.

4962624
I might. Though I'd need my desktop handy. My Laptop is as slow as a bureaucracy of slugs.

Do you have a Discord?

4962700
Alright. The group we played in last time is called https://discord.gg/YnU6Zp. I don't know if that'll happen again in round 2, but you'd probably have a better chance in that group.

Though if that doesn't work, my discord tag is Charles Spratt#1259, so if you want to get in that way, the option's open. Or not, if you'd rather, up to you.

well totally late, I wound up being busy and yesterday was rather stressful as well

It's just as well. Yesterday's game was called off anyway, due to some unexpected work issues from the host.
