New Chapter Coming Soon! · 6:35pm Oct 28th, 2018
Hi everybody. I know it's been a long time since I updated. I don't like to think of how long. I'm truly sorry about that. But I've had life things to deal with, and distractions, all mixed in with my usual procrastination issues and my ADHD.
A new chapter of A Tale of Two Suns will be coming out relatively soon. It won't be today, and probably won't be tomorrow either. If I haven't mentioned it before in some of my blog posts, my house is being re-tiled room by room. Has been for a long time. And another round of it starts up tomorrow. It's thankfully the second to last, but it's also a big room, and there's still lots of stuff to move today.
Besides having the chapter proofread, I usually like to have everything set and ready to post before the chosen chapter release date so I can put it out in the morning with little to no trouble, and I'm not at "set everything up" stage right now.
With all the things I still need to do today in preparation for tiling, I really don't think the chapter will be out tomorrow. And while I can't give a precise date right now, I just wanted to let you know that it will be out relatively soon, and when everything is ready to go, I'll put out another blog the day before with an announcement.
And BTW, as a bit of life advice (again, if I haven't said this before): If you or someone you know decides to get your house tiled, it's vital that you get it done right the first time by someone that truly knows what they're doing. That wasn't what happened here, and trust me, tiling a house is annoying, sure, but re-tiling is worse by far. They've had to smash all the old tile and it sounds like a jackhammer. Not to mention all the silt and dust everywhere.
That's all I had to say. Thanks for being so patient with me.
It's all fine. No worries. ^_^
Eagerly awaiting what's next, but the wait's worth it, so don't sweat it ^-^
Glad to know this story's alive and kicking. That re-tiling sounds like hell, so I hope it goes well this time around.

I'd never describe it as "smooth". Stuff is reshuffled (we have a lot of furniture, probably too much), so the rooms are cramped. The room where I am isn't entirely blocked off, but it's pretty cramped now. This room will take a week, and then when everything's done, all the furniture and stuff needs to be moved back, and the tile needs to be cleaned. There's this white filmy stuff that's on it, so you need to wash it with water and then dry with a paper towel/towel to get it off. And again, big room.
But then, I suppose it needed to be done eventually. The guy that put down the original tile years back didn't seal the grout, so there were often big gouges in it, and rather than secure the tiles with, you know, cement, he used glue. Yup, glue. You really need to be careful with contractors and keep them on a short leash, because otherwise, you'll often find yourself cheated and lied to.
The only saving grace with this entire mess is that I don't have to move this time, and I refused to have my room tiled in the first place, so that's untouched.
