What will TMB do for Nightmare Night?

Now, I'm not exactly a horror fan, but I do like the spooky, the dark, and the macabre, and I'll certainly be doing something here for All Hallow's Eve! I've got another chapter of BloodLust on the way (just really, really slowly; creativity is hard), but I've also been planning something I think you'll all like.

I wanted to write a short story, something I could squeeze into one really long chapter, and I wanted to write it for Halloween, and after plenty of thought, I believe I've found my inspiration.

I'm going to try to retell/adapt one of my favorite lesser-known short stories as a pony fic.

It's not exactly a Halloween story, but its got a monster, some eeriness, a little drama, and a whole lot of heart. What could it be, you ask? You'll have to wait and find out!
