Happy Applejack Day! · 2:21pm Oct 22nd, 2018



Because Applejack Day is now today, I thought I put in all that I've learned while making the character poses for the bios into a composition. To date this is my most complex composition using Clip Studio Paint.

At first, I downloaded a posable horse model, but it soon became very hard to use, so I decided to use the legs and traced an image of my Big Boy rig. A better reference of him showed his legs and now her looks much better (though that does mean I will have to adjust his rig once I get Toon Boom back). A little posing and extra detail on his face (take a close look at his eye for instance) matches more of my style.

I'm quite proud at how this turned out, and I hope to explore more compositions in the future.

Now... Regarding Rarity...
