Random Idea #83: Sword vs Gun fights (in visual media)

I had some shower thoughts after watching some various fight shows, specifically about choreography. So, I assume we’re all broadly familiar with sword fights.

Note that “gun” and “sword” here are simply shorthand for any ranged, projectile weapon and any melee weapon, punches and kicks included.

Idea #82: A random review of Cyberformula: Road to the Infinity 1 to 4

The audience for this game outside of Japan is probably in the low hundreds, but after binging the games for the past two weeks, I needed some way to organize my thoughts.

First of all, what is Cyberformula?

    Sonic Franchise
Seriously, how the hell did I forget about the franchise memetically associated with hundreds of fan OCs?
    1) Setting: Mobius and other various locales seem to imply a fairly Earth like world [1]
    2) Inhabitants: waves hand in the vague direction of sonic OCs [1]

Random Idea #81: Complaining about Scale in third person POV games

In most games at human-scale, and even car scale to a certain extent, the 3rd POV doesn’t greatly change how large things appear to be. Your avatar is still going to look small when standing next to a large truck. The game “It Takes Two” is a great example of this, since the characters are shrunk to the size of dolls and tossed into the insides of machines and snowglobes. A gear the size of a

Creature
I always felt that having a brain in one part of the body seems to leave a really venerable spot to protect. Instead of having grey matter completely concentrated in one area (aka head), parts of the brain are somewhat spread out across the nervous system, though still a bit higher than the center of mass. This might slow the brain's processing speed, though that is traded off for the ability of being somewhat more coordinated.

This is somewhat connected with the idea of a creature with near perfect connections to its body's cells. This will allow it to be able to handle environmental surprises much more mechanically, and less prone to panic attacks by commanding the flow of adrenaline and controlling the fight/flight instinct. Also to withstand pain after acknowledging what caused it and being able to fix it. Which can be healed by sending more nutrients to the area by controlling blood flow to speed up tissue repair. In extreme cases, force a cell to revert to a stem cell. And go on from there. Maybe be able to accept foreign DNA to improve itself. Is very adaptable to massive environmental changes due to accumulation of DNA and the ability to consciously activate certain chains. Still takes time for the proteins to get around.
